FBI Director James Comey told his bureau he broke with custom in alerting lawmakers that the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server was being reopened because of its political sensitivity.
In an internal memo obtained by Fox News, the beleaguered director noted that the FBI typically would not communicate with the public when reopening a case, according to a Department of Justice source. But Comey said he had to in this case because Clinton is seeking the White House in an election on Nov. 8.
“Of course we don’t ordinarily tell Congress about ongoing investigations, but here I feel an obligation to do so given that I testified repeatedly in recent months that our investigation was completed,” Comey wrote. I also think it would be misleading to the American people were we not to supplement the record.
“At the same time, however, given that we do not know the significance of this newly discovered collection of emails, I don’t want to create a misleading impression,” Comey’s letter continued....

I think Comey is melting down. He’s all over the map here.
Trying to save face. This had to come out. Hillary has a problem now that will take a long time for her to overcome.
Democrats now have fear of losing the Senate too.
Comey’s lawyer advised him to do this. It was legal advise that caused him to make this decision.

Comey and Lynch are worried about going to jail for obstruction of justice. Hussein ordered NO INDICTMENT to Comey and Lynch but Hussein is likely going to jail to join Hillary and her email team.
Comey wants to be at home the next couple of Christmas celebrations as he can see the writing on the President Trump wall.

The agents on the case (and/or the NYPD investigating Weiner) know the significance.
That's why you were forced to send the letter to Congress.
Anyone putting any faith in Comey will be disappointed...again. Once bit, twice shy! Screw Comey. He gave IMMUNITY to the targets of the investigation. A pox on him. I think he should be facing obstruction of justice charges.
I am not jumping on the bandwagon there is a smoking gun coming out of this... But it sure isn’t good for Hillary.
Anything they have to attack Trump with will be coming shortly to try to change the subject... That much is for sure.
Comey melted down when he gave his presser describing the evidence and then asserting intent was an element of the crime, and that no reasonable prosecutor would take the case. This is just a reprise, or warm-up to a reprise. He’s trying to salvage the FBI reputation AND protect Crooked at the same time, but he’s doing so stupidly. He’d have been better off keeping the investigation under wraps.
It has to be bad news for Hillary based upon the timing. If not, then why drag up a subject that has been put to rest? I can’t see him coming out a week from now saying it was only precautionary and everything is fine. It doesn’t bolster Hillary’s story that she didn’t doing anything wrong, but will just reinforce people’s suspensions that she is corrupt.
One thing that is probably going on behind the scenes is that I would bet the Weiner matter is being moved within the DOJ from the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York to Main Justice.
If the Weiner investigation had been in Main Justice under the control of Hillary’s allies from the start, they would never have allowed the FBI to get control of anything connected to Huma.
The Weiner investigation has probably been chugging along under the supervision of an Assistant US Attorney in New York and a local team of FBI agents and that is how it was permitted to go so far along outside the control of Hillary’s fixers in Washington, who weren’t paying attention to it.
Now that Comey and Main Justice have been made aware of it, I would bet that Main Justice is taking this matter away from the AUSA in SDNY and giving oversight to Hillary’s friends within Main Justice in D.C.
Will Weiner go to jail over this? Or has he made a deal to turn over the evidence in exchange for getting out of jail?
The Justice Department did not do its job either. The meeting with Bill Clinton in the plane was wrong.
The public is going to have to put the kibosh on Hillary through voting, and in numbers too large to cheat.
I trust Comey about like I trust the Clintons..............

Comey has one objective get Clintoon to WH. Cause they all going to jail with a real investigation. Including Comey. He had NO choice today else by 5 pm agents would have dumped the contents. Putting a letter out the only option although not a good one, to keep HRC alive . Comey is just as evil
Well that Lawyer certainly didn't come by way of the DOJ. Lynch mob taking the fifth certainly didn't give him a lot of confidence either in his attempt to stay out of Fort Mercy Park.
