He isnt Ronald Reagan, but in many ways, he will have much more on his plate than Reagan did.
The economy is in many ways worse shape now than when Reagan got in, because this federal government is out and out LYING their asses off about how bad it is.
Since Reagan, the Bushs and Clintons have served the globalist interests faithfully, trading power between the two dynasties just often enough to preserve the illusion of democracy, while ensuring a steady cultural drift toward global socialism. There was never any realistic chance of preservation or expansion of Reagans conservative legacy with the likes of Dole, snake-in-the-grass McCain, or Romney. And I believe the Bush/Clinton agreement for 2016 was always a Hillary presidency, with Jeb Bush playing the part of the amiable loser (a la Bob Dole) who would then hold the post of heir apparent for four or eight years.

My wife and I noted tonight Trump has gotten better...
He’s not as folksy as Mag was but he’s less restrained by political correctness which I love and he wars with media another plus
And his kids are way way better
Gorgeous family especially the splittails which are all drop dead hot women
Sometimes Trump talks like Christopher Walken which I find endearing
Trump can save our country and country...our peoples
I don’t believe he’s a better candidate, but is more suited for these times...as RR was for his.
Here in Utah I find it strange that the big picture is overlooked over beliefs coming from the destruction crew. Even stupid Romney fails to see how they handled his dumb ass with all the fake accusations and lies.
Thanks for posting this great new perspective. I’ll be using this in discussions every day until the election.
I was just thinking the other day how Trump has grown into the job.
As we watched him on Hannity last night, my husband and I both saw a man filled with a righteous anger at a thoroughly corrupt system. The election process has changed him. He’s on a mission now.
Absolute drivel.
Reagan was able to communicate far better than Trump can, he could discuss policies as well as debate far better than Trump can and he had governing experience that Trump doesn’t have (but might’ve if Trump had bothered to run for mayor or governor—apparently his ego only wants the top spot).
The early life of St. Augustine comes to mind.
Ummmmm the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ maybe?
Revelation 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus
I can almost hear the right-wing NeverTrumper heads exploding from my chair and I love it.
Every word this man wrote rings with truth!
I am in tears!
I count it a privilege to vote for this courageous man, Donald Trump!
For those folks trashing this well reasoned article, try reading it first. You’d be amazed how that can elevate an argument above ad hominems up to the level of thoughtful analysis.
More like Sarah Palin. But that’s a hell of a compliment.
While I support Trump and will be voting for him next month, the idea that he is a better candidate than Reagan is ludicrous.
The author make a strong case.
For over a year I’ve been saying that Trump could very well be the greatest president of modern times, even greater that RR.
Did God perhaps intentionally lead us to nominate a candidate with obvious flaws for a very important reason? Let me explain...... Trump is not smooth-talking, drop-dead gorgeous, perfectly-pious, all-knowing. He is just a good, honest man who loves this country and the constitution who was willing to use his wealth and talents to stand against the elites in power, to make America great again. If Trump was too perfect, we would have the tendency to “worship” him, to fall down before him and declare him our country’s “savior”, in essence to make him a “god”. In doing so we would be corrupting a good man, we would be forgetting who really saved us, we would be giving the praise and glory to a man-god rather than to God Himself.
I am reminded of how the Amish quilt makers always put an intentional flaw in their otherwise perfect quilts to remind themselves and others that only God is perfect. Isn’t it the story of mankind, how God takes the imperfect and uses us us anyway to do His work?
What an absurd title. Let him win first, then govern, then get back to me in 4 years.
Reagan was from the old school of men, like my father, who was born in 1920.
Trump is a good man and will do a very good job, I think, but the class act of that generation will not be matched again.
