NEW BRUNSWICK Authorities at Rutgers University are investigating a suspicious package in a campus parking deck, and advising students to avoid the area Monday morning.
According to a tweet from the university, students and visitors should avoid the Douglass Parking Deck and surrounding area.
A University spokesman said Monday morning at about 9 a.m. that authorities were on scene.
"The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) has closed-off the area around the Douglass Parking Deck and is working to determine whether the package presents a danger," E.J. Miranda said.
"RUPD will provide updated information as it becomes available."

Good point. Also consider that Rutgers is across the Raritan river from Highland Park, a very Jewish community with several synagogues in a one mile circumference. A few years ago, Kristallnacht spread to this NJ town
Also, the Chelsea bombing in Manhattan this weekend...the standard report suggested the target was a residence for the blind. What isn't mentioned in media is JAWA: Explosion took place at a small Shop called King David Gallery. I believe the owners are Israeli.
