More of a sallow yellow, actually.
He’s calling Obama a racist.
Which he is.
So they should put their hands in their own pockets and rock on their own and good luck with that.
We need them a whole lot less than they need us.
I think the term was coined by either Taft or Roosevelt at the time of the Spanish American war, when Philippines became a US protectorate.
How about the US lock its bases, shut off the local economy, and leave the Philippines to them. Treat our bases like GitMo and let them enjoy being a 3rd world cesspool all by themselves.
Unfortunately for the Philippines, no one in America really cares about them much anymore. We don’t want them to fall into China’s orbit and we don’t want them to become a failed terrorist-dominated state, but that’s about it. These Third World countries need to know that if you kick the US out, the money goes with us.
Mom jumped the fence?
Little Green Apples is running through my head.
“Little Brown Brothers” was the term used by the Progressives over here to describe the folks we were supposedly saving during the Philippine “Insurrection”. The soldiers didn’t call them that though. The word “gook”, which was commonly used during the Vietnam war, actually originated in this war.
I love it when other leaders talk smack to Obongodinga.
Here’s an idea, little non-brother of ours: scrap your mutual defense treaty with the USA and defend yourselves. Oh, and you may want to start studying the Koran and/or learning Chinese.
Where will or sailors go for brides now?.......... : )
Reminds me of the time over 30 years ago, when I was at Sunday mass in Manila. At the ‘Peace,’ I turned to greet those behind me and saw ‘my little brown brother,’ Carlos Rómulo, the “Quintessential Philippino.” We shook hands. That was nice.
