Seems as though the comments on the CBS MIAMI web page are pretty much in line with what is said here...I really do hope the actions of these arrogant thugs backfires.
Maybe the NFL will wise up and fire these idiots, or, preferably, the NFL will wither on the vine.
Sunday ought to be used for connecting with our Creator, family, and our fellow man. Instead, in America, it has become (at least in the autumn and winter) a day to create an idol out of a game.
Agreed. Stopped watching football over thirty years ago. Beer & football is the true opiate of the masses.
Stopped watching a few years back because of similar political activism. I haven’t missed it.
I try to arrange business trips outside of the country the Friday before and Monday after the Superbowl. Fares are cheap. It saves my company money.
Can you imagine if the players stay seated and almost the entire stadium emptied immediately and went home....
That would be EPIC!

I grew up in South Florida and have been a Dolphins fan from the beginning. If they pull this crap, I won’t watch another game. I put that message on their Facebook page as many others had already done.
Why not just stop now? As you say, they are “ungrateful, meatheads”.

I read that Kaepernick’s jersey was the highest selling. At first I was shocked but then I remembered who is in the White House.
One reason for this is that some sports -- baseball and hockey come to mind -- have different protocols for the national anthem. In those two sports, the starting players actually take the field (and the ice) before the national anthem is played. A player who refused to take the field for the national anthem probably couldn't be in the starting lineup.
Multimillionaires? Most of them are too stupid and punch drunk to save any money. 78% end up filing for bankruptcy eventually. Go ahead and kneel, you filthy friggin losers.
These protests are designed to eventually provide cover for the anniversary of one of the days when Muslim Terrorists attacked America. Their future plan is to make this day a day which recognizes racial injustice instead of the day upon which we remember the injustice done to America on behalf of Muslim Terrorists.
Who needs the NFL? I am done.

That the NFL has not already come out with a “stand during the anthem or else” statement tells me all I need to know.

Professional baseball suffered for years from the consequences of an ill-advised strike.
Professional football didn’t learn the lesson.
Watching football Thursday. I was mad. My not watch this year at all.
