Donald Trump surrogate Ben Carson said Tuesday that it would be smart for Trump to apologize for his birther comments, made about President Obama during the 2012 presidential campaign.
In an interview on CNN, the retired neurosurgeon and Trump surrogate was asked whether the birther nonsense was a mistake and if Trump should apologize so that black voters might be more willing to listen to him.

“At this point, what difference does it make?”
It’s a “Good idea” for Ben Carson to STFU.
Ben, you can go away now ...
Right after Hillary apologizes.
SHE started it!
Why apologize? It was a long-standing national controversy made more controversial by Obama’s refusal to produce his records.

At least until he gets a clue about not being suckered into responding to such things.
I agree. That’s not helping.
No, an apology would just be blood in the water for the networks and Hillary spokesrats to yammer about endlessly.
Wrong again Ben. Trump owes no apology for anything to anybody about that. Bitch Hillary is the one that started that birther crap in 2008. Let her apologize if anybody is to apologize.
Ben is like the ‘friend’ in the passenger’s seat that interjects on your behalf when pulled over for a minor traffic violation.
Absolutely not!!! Trump was the only one to force Obama to show what Obama claimed was his birth certificate. It was a legitimate constitutional question and Trump won the battle to get Obama to show something to validate his eligibility since Obama’s history is so murky.
Ben Carson, giving into PC. Trump, DON’T GIVE IN!

Ben Carson may be a good guy, but he’s not up to the task of putting the demonrats down.
He spoke up about this when conservative talk radio was too scared to. He shouldn’t apologize to make sure that he had a birth certificate.
True. Leave it alone. Why open it up?
