I’ve spent time on the South Side of Chicago (outside of Obama’s Hyde Park). Have made a point to learn about the place, including the worst neighborhoods - Englewood, Auburn, Garfield, etc...
IMHO, the communities there aren’t as fractured as a lot of inner cities in the USA. You still see a lot of churches, community organizations, and neighborhood groups. The areas are all traditional African-American, so there’s a lot of cultural uniformity and strong group identity. You still see some decent housing and streets with people who know each other, trying to lead normal lives among the chaos.
Both the direct violent, and indirect problems of broken families, are caused, nearly exclusively, by a small subset of young males, ages 15-29.
I know its a total fiction, but if the community could force, in regimented, military style, young men of those ages to be either in school or at work (ie. be productive and responsible) - the South Side of Chicago would eventually be as peaceful as Switzerland.
Exactly. Even a tremendous athlete like former Redskins Safety Sean Taylor can’t stop a couple guns with a baseball bat when they have guns. He was a felon btw, couldn’t have a gun.
So, they still seem to be reproducing at a faster rate than liberals are aborting them.
And getting them spun up to the point they are destroying their own homes and killing each other in the streets is being effective.
But what else does the Democrat Party have lined up so more blacks will die faster?
One would reasonably expect that being from Chicago, America’s first black President would have the interest and resources, to aide Chicago to be the best it is capable of being.
But I can accept that perhaps it actually is; that the black community is this criminally violent, after generations of welfare and fatherless children, and politicians afraid to speak up.
Obama’s legacy will be that he left blacks worse off, than he found them. So much for expecting any results, from community organizing.
Yeah, but no Whitey to blame, so this is not in the news.

I would love to see an experiment like this somewhere.
Since the liberals keep finding “constitutional rights” to things like abortion and health insurance, and then providing them at taxpayer expense, why can’t they provide guns, since the right to own them is EXPLICITLY written into the Constitution?
