Trump mulls alternative options for making Mexico finance 'the wall'

While Donald Trump doubled down this week on his vow to make Mexico pay for his proposed southern border wall, his campaign is reported to be weighing options that don’t necessarily involve the seemingly far-fetched scenario of the Mexican government handing America a great, big check.

LifeZette first reported that the Republican presidential nominee and his top advisers are looking at using assets seized from drug cartels and other traffickers. This reportedly could involve establishing a “joint border security fund” -- holding seized assets from crackdowns on both sides of the border – for border construction and maintenance.

Trump, asked Thursday by Fox News about the report, did not deny the option is on the table.

“There are many ways that they can pay for the wall,” Trump said, calling it a “negotiation.”

But he again insisted, “The United States will not be paying for the wall. Mexico will be paying for the wall.”

Sounds like creative thinking. Instead of Congress voting to fun it, which we know they might, but never spend the money for it. Set up a fund, or hold a percentage of money transfers BY MEXICANS. Simple, promise kept, problem solved.

Hey, if he just throws all the illegals off welfare and sends them home I will call it PAID

They cost us $110 Billion PER YEAR

The wall will cost $11 billon

How about the media including Fox spend their time on something else like where Her Heinous has been and how many refugees we don’t need she’s going to let instead of going over and over on this wall. They sure didn’t pay any attention before when it wasn’t built. Gee, are they scared of something?

Yeah I would agree with that. However that is not what Trump said. He said Trump said Mexico will pay for it. So he has to follow through.

We don’t need a multi-billion dollar wall. We need to make life so inhospitable for illegal invaders that they no longer find it worth their troubles to come here in the first place.

Always nice to capture southbound bundles of cash, but go where the real money is. Freeze and seize the funds in Wells Fargo, HSBC, and other banks that knowingly have multi-billion dollar cartel accounts.

Did you think he was going to make them write a check? It could be done by renegotiating the one sided trade deal(s)

There are a lot of ways to make people pay, some people are too stupid to understand how it can be done without a plane load of cash.

Now he’s mulling going after confiscated money from Narcos that usually goes to the IMO the CIA or FBI. On that he needs to tread lightly.

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

That needs to be amended out of the Constitution.

Birthright citizenship may have been appropriate 150 years ago, but it creates millions of problems in the 21st Century - US children with illegal foreign parents.

What I suggest is:

The first sentence of Amendment XIV is hereby repealed.

Every child born in the USA after April 30, 2017 shall be born with the citizenship of their mother.

No foreigner may be granted US citizenship unless the foreigner is over age 22 and has paid United States federal income tax in excess of the value of one ounce of gold on personal US earnings in each of the prior four years.

[That’s to make it impractical/impossible for Democrats to give a scofflaw mom or her newborn US citizenship.]

[A wall isn’t going to work - there are bulldozers and ladders in Mexico.]

They often only get welfare because of their US citizen children.

Anchor babies and their parents aren’t likely to be going anywhere or taken off the welfare rolls during the Trump administration.

We might be able to cap the welfare benefits or place residency/occupational restrictions on the parents - such as:
1. only allowing an illegal parent to do farm work
2. requiring an anchor baby parent in construction to contribute time[200+ hours]/money[$3,000+] annually for affordable housing for fully legal households in order to stay in the USA
3. capping (by taxing away) the earnings of an illegal anchor baby parent at $20,000/year
4. allowing an anchor baby parent to stay if their kid’s/kids’ welfare benefits don’t exceed $5,000/year
5. barring residency say within 100 miles of the coast or any lake in excess of two square miles
