The Let wants to brand as many as possible with "mental health problems" to make them illegible for gun ownership later in life.

I have more of a question about the mental health of parents who spend $50,000 per year to send their kids to these politically-correct, radical Left, authoritarian Hellholes.

Life is hard. Life is hard for a reason.

“If you add them all up 50% doesn’t seem that high.”

What?

In my experience, about 95% of the psychology majors I have met, took that field of study to see if they could figure out why THEY were so screwed up. It was a case of people trying to unscrew their own issues; and I have yet to see much evidence to sway this opinion.

"ttention students: get a two year technical degree or tech certification in an actively hiring field while living at home. You’ll eliminate a ton of debt, have a solid living paying job and retain your common sense at completion. (That is, IF you really want to work to support yourself.)"

And find an employer who will pay for you too finish up your bachelors, I had them, but were real restrictive as to what the degree should be, If I had to do it over again I'd gone for something general like Business that they might buy into with a minor in Finance / Acctg etc that makes you more employable should you leave...

It proves that our skool system needs to be DESTROYED-—and parents need to take back the (true) education of their own children and embed VIRTUE into their young children so they will have habits of morality and the practice of THINKING FOR SELF———.

The Left has destroyed public education with John Dewey, the communist, humanist, satanist——and we allow our children to be destroyed/brainwahsed and conditioned like Pavlov’s dog into group think and in artificial institutions and we WONDER WHY they are removed from REALITY-—and can’t communicate with OTHER HUMAN BEINGS.

Whoa-——Parents——know what the skools have been doing ON PURPOSE to your children. They are destroying their MINDS-—as I type—with operant conditioning and lies and misinformant and making them FEAR disagreeing with the MOBS> (Fear of Man).

“What I’m including in that is the use of substances, anxiety, depression, problems with relationships, break-ups, academic problems, learning disabilities, attentional problems,”

Most of those don’t sound like what most sensible people would consider psychiatric problems. Substance use? Sure, if it’s a problem, but for most people it’s not. Problems with relationships? Who doesn’t? Break-ups? Please. Academic problems? Hardly a symptom of a psychiatric problem.

Exactly. It’s life—get used to it. If they think they’re stressed now, wait till their parents stop paying the bills.

I’m a college professor. One trend I’ve seen over the past few years are students trying to get on SS Disability about the time they graduate. It is not that they are stupid, it is that they are scared of the real world and they see Disability as a way out. I’m not talking a lot of students here, but enough for me to notice.

50 to 60% of college kids are mentally ill? That’s ridiculous. I’m sure one could devise a way to measure behavior that would produce that number, but it would be faulty. Many of the episodes of depression and anxiety thus described are actually normal consequences of growing up, making new relationships and dealing with the pressures of passing their classes.

There will be some amount of separation anxiety experienced by those who miss their families, or their old routines. That is a temporary condition of adjustment not a disease. It helps if their campus has not yet been taken over by anarchists , Palestinian support groups or factions of Black Lives Matters.

My son was diagnosed bipolar last year at 19. Obviously, his parents aren’t whacked out libs.

My mom is also bipolar and she’s voting for Trump.

My son didn’t get as bad as my mom, but he got pretty bad. Meds have helped both of them.

My mom is 84 and still has an antique shop. She would have never done that without meds.

My dad had to have her committed. It was the hardest thing he ever did, but I’m so thankful he did.

I don’t think my son is quite on the right meds. I hate that this is his path.

...anxiety, depression, problems with relationships, break-ups, academic problems...

Doesn't that pretty much describe adolescence?

Half the world isn't nuts just the shrinks that think they are.

“It’s really stressful sometimes here at school.”

Horse hockey. Go back to your mama's basement and hide out there for the rest of the semester. College is fun. It's exciting. It's all about getting out on your own and exploring life. It's a place where you can pursue your goals and see your future. Too bad these little pansy freaks don't understand that. But, no, all they are doing is whining that someone used the wrong he/she/it/whatever to address this that morning or they're out demanding their black classmates be freed from their slave masters, or for some inconceivable reason they're shaking sex toys in passersby's faces protesting campus carry. It's no wonder they're stressed, miserable, depressed and psychotic. No sympathies for them.

50% to 60% of college students have a psychiatric disorder.

psychological disorder + culturally conditioned anti-integration mode of thought = abnormal psycho-epistemology

abnormal psycho-epistemology leads to emotionalism + evasion

abnormal psycho-epistemology + emotionalism + evasion + libtard indoctrination = libtard beliefs

libtard beliefs lead to pro-libtard value judgements, which lead to pro-libtard values + inappropriate emotions, which lead to toxic libtard choices, motives and actions

So, people with psychological disorders are an excellent breeding ground for libtards, which is just what libtards want.

So, dealing with universal life situations is now considered a “psychiatric disorder”?

All those idiots who were protesting with their #Cocks4Glocks at the University of Texas should be declared mental but they aren’t in the gun ownership market. In that case, it’s a good thing to know ahead of time who shouldn’t be within a mile of any sort of weapon be it a gun or a pair of scissors.
