I’m a college professor. One trend I’ve seen over the past few years are students trying to get on SS Disability about the time they graduate. It is not that they are stupid, it is that they are scared of the real world and they see Disability as a way out. I’m not talking a lot of students here, but enough for me to notice.
What an awful trend, rbg! Is it because they’ve been so coddled all their life? Don’t they work at jobs during their summer vacations? I worked in high school. Hated it, I admit, although when I look back on it I was practically running the clothes department at A&S! I wish I had the super math skills today I had then!
