A 67-year-old woman was charged Sunday in connection with a shooting that seriously wounded a teenager.
Delores Gibson-Council was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting a 14-year-old male Saturday night. She is being held in the Bibb County jail and bond has not been set.
The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Flamingo Drive, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office release.
According to the release, Gibson-Council stated that she was traveling on Flamingo Drive when she encountered a group of juveniles in the roadway. She said she blew her horn, and the victim came to her door and made a threat to her. She then shot him in the abdomen.
He is listed in critical but stable condition.
The release also stated that earlier in the day, Gibson-Council’s home was burglarized, and she believed the 14-year-old was involved. Investigators are looking into that, the release stated.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

Good for her. She feels threatened by a passel of teen scum and SHE’s the one arrested.
They let her go and I bet the scum will never mess with her again.
BTW, don’t count on the BLM not rioting. It certainly doesn’t matter if the “shooter” was black or not, as we’ve seen.

I was thinking that not just because she is black, but because she is not Law Enforcement.
Not guilty for the shooting, but convict her for the hyphenated last name.
The courts will care, of course, about what kind of threat. “I’m going to kill you” is treated differently from “I’ll smash your mail box.”
This is crap, he came to her door and started threatening her. What’s a 67 year old supposed to do, wait till she take that first blow? That one shot might be too much for her to overcome.

And she’s saying it was a whole group of yutes.
Menacing behavior that causes her to think she is about to suffer an immediate battery.
And yet... one shot and apparently the whole group scattered (rather than dragging her out and beating her to death, which they could have done though at the risk of some more gunshot casualties).
Sometimes the biggest mouths are the biggest cowards too.
We simply do not have the details of such an allegation at this time.
And a 25 is very loud. Extraordinarily so when its a total surprise.

And 14 year old who issues any threat to a 67 year old woman is well within the “ok to shoot zone”. Because even though she was locked up by the ninnies, all she needs is one juror.

Hung jury does not necessarily equal acquittal — it can force another trial, and another trial, and another trial... they want to make examples, see....
Hung jury means a loud message got sent to the prosecutor. Three trials? LOL,,, sure! After one, they’ll know the next jury will have at least ONE with the same thinking.
THEN the prosecutor can say he tried, and says that he has bigger priorities and there will be no second trial.... see...
