Well, I’m thinking the handshake offer was “extracurricular”, i.e. an initiative of the Israeli competitor. This might suggest that the Muslim Scum was within his rights not to respond to it. I was led into this thought by the comment about “bowing” in the article. I took Judo lessons, and I do remember bowing, but not handshaking.

I really thought the Egyptians had gotten past this hatred being endemic and cultivated by the elders. When their President Sisi threw the former Muslim President Morsi in jail and crushed the uprising of radical islamics, I thought that trend of enlightment would continue. I guess not all at once.
