Woman arrested after victim escapes carjackers at Royse City Wal-Mart

A Greenville woman has been arrested and police are still looking for a male suspect after a woman was held at gunpoint in a Royse City Wal-Mart parking lot before fleeing in her car.
Saniqua Chanty Perkins, 39, was arrested Tuesday in Greenville after officers saw a car matching the description of one involved in the carjacking.
Perkins has been charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the Rockwall County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Police were called to the Wal-Mart in the 400 block of the Interstate 30 frontage road around 10:45 p.m. Sunday.
The victim said she had been shopping in the store for about 20 minutes. When she returned to her vehicle, she was approached by a man and a woman in a gray sport utility vehicle, police said in a statement.
The pair asked her for money to buy groceries and then forced her into the SUV at gunpoint when she said she didn't have any cash, police said.
After a struggle, the woman was able to get out the other side of the SUV and run to a person in the parking lot for help.
The robbers fled the scene, one in the SUV and one in the victim's car, which police did not describe.
A similar incident was reported in a neighborhood nearby around the same time, police said.
