Reid: Trump is a 'hateful con man'

Speaking for the last time at a Democratic convention as a party leader or elected official, Senate Minority LeaderHarry Reid (Nev.) used the occasion Wednesday to unload on Donald Trump, calling him a “hateful con man.”

Reid blamed what he called the divisive tactics of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and other congressional Republicans for enabling Trump’s rise.

“His Republican Party decided that the answer to hard-working Americans' dreams is to slander our African-American president, stoke fear of Muslims, sow hatred of Latinos, insult Asians, and, of course, wage war against women,” Reid said.

“In other words, the only thing Republicans, like Mitch McConnell, have accomplished is setting the stage for a hateful con man, Donald Trump.”

Reid has served as the Senate Democrats’ leader since the 2004 election and helped pass some of the party’s biggest legislative accomplishments, such as the 2010 Affordable Care Act.

But his parting speech to the convention didn’t dwell on sentiment and memories, focusing instead on the party’s next generation of leaders such as Catherine Cortez Masto, who’s running for his Nevada seat, and Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Clinton’s running mate.

“In a few months, I'll be stepping out of the ring, one last time. But Democrats will always — always — be in your corner. So together, let's keep fighting, together; fighting the good fight!” he said, alluding to his younger days as a semi-professional boxer.

True to his reputation as a pugilistic politician, he didn’t leave the stage without a hard parting shot at the GOP.

He argued that Trump and his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R), want to put insurance companies in charge of the healthcare system, give free rein to banks and “gamble” with retirement benefits by encouraging people to adopt private investment accounts instead of Social Security.

“Republicans want to tear down the pillars of middle-class security. We won’t let that happen,” he said.

As usual Dingy Harry is projecting and thinks all are like himself, his retirement can't come soon enough and it should include hard jail time.

More projection from an over-the-hill crook who will be utterly forgotten in a year or two.

It was Republican Business Interests that hot Harry Reid elected for his first 6 year term. Nothing more need be said. It’s fixed. Ask Bernie.

He got it partly right. Trump is trying to con a hateful opponent running for president of an America he loves.

Speaking of liberals, I heard Paul Ryan bashed Trump again today this time over Trumps Russian remark. If Ryan had half a brain he would realize Trump just got Hillary to admit her 30,000 missing emails affect national security.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/03/28/the-real-reason-harry-reid-is-retiring/

But the real reason Reid is retiring may have nothing to do with any of these excuses and everything to do with his concerns that a possible Republican Presidential victory in 2016 would lead to the appointment of a Republican Attorney General in January 2017.

A Republican Attorney General would be almost certain to initiate a criminal investigation into Reid’s abuse of his political power in a brazen intervention in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) issuance of EB-5 visas to investors in a Las Vegas casino and hotel that was represented by his son, Rory Reid, as was highlighted in a report released by the Inspector General of DHS last week.

Trump sure gets em to pop their heads out of their holes for a good game of "Whack-a Mole", doesn't he?

Dimwits just can't resist. You know they are struggling with it. They hunker down and Trump just tosses out the bait to draw their heads out to make some noise and "Whack"!
