One thing is clear, he doesn’t know what addiction means or is at all.

The drug may not be physically addictive but the permanent physical changes in the brain are measurable even should the user quit the drug. The drug is psychologically addicting and is a crutch for many!(yeah I know...incoming from the treatment for nausea due to chemo crowd!)

My friends live in Colorado and they are cops and said it’s been a dream they have less crime less problems and glad it’s legal...

The drug is not physically addicting but it is psychologically addicting for some. There are two aspects of addiction when we medical folks speak of addiction.. the physical and the psychological. The protestations of the rabidly pro weed Freepers speak to the psychological addictions they have though there are no physical withdrawal symptoms with a sudden cessation of the drug; as opposed to what one would see with alcohol addiction which is both psychological and physically addicting!

“The biggest cost to Colorado is that the type of people who love pot are also the type of people that use welfare. Sure, some professional types smoke pot, I know a few, but overall the massive homeless, mentally ill, and lower class of people are moving into Colorado.”

Definitely. There’s a pot shop on a major highway intersection in Boulder County that lies just outside of the town limits of my little burg, which doesn’t allow pot shops, and it is now surrounded by panhandlers hitting up tourists on the way to Rocky Mountain National Park, so they can run into the pot shop as soon they get enough to buy a couple of hits. I’m assuming the panhandlers are “pot tourists” themselves who don’t know how to contact the cheaper “illegal” pot sellers.

1%. That means everyone is still buying the cheap stuff off the street. Ha, serves them right.

Lots of people have crutches in this world. Do you want to kick their crutches out from under them? Would that give you some kicks or something?

And psychologically addicting doesn’t mean a damned thing.

I like eating pizza. Does that mean I’m psychologically addicted to pizza?

I like exercise and physical activity. That makes me feel good. Does that mean I am psychologically addicted to exercise and physical activity? You know I have hurt myself doing that too. I have pulled a muscle doing the ab wheel, and I have fallen down on my rollerblades.

Maybe I should stop.

Oh, and let me ask you a question. Would you deny Patrick Swayze a joint to increase his appetite as he wasted away from pancreatic cancer?

Would it bother you that Patrick might get “psychologically addicted” to pot as he wastes away from cancer? You worried that he might like it and do it a 2nd time? or a 40th time?

He weighed 90 lbs when he died. You think a case of the munchies might have done him a bit of good?

(yeah I know... incoming from the you should be thrown in jail because you’re a drag on society crowd!)

It just seems like so many Americans don’t care about what happens to this country.

It’s like they’re stoned or something.

There’s a cause-and-effect in there somewhere.

Since government is involved, it is no wonder the state is not realizing what it thinks it should from MJ taxes. I doubt it will be long before the cost of administration out weighs the tax revenue garnered from legalization.

Just look at what happened to Off Track Betting in NY. When legalized horse betting was going broke, it instituted a 5% surcharge on all winnings. Now, even with the surcharge, it is struggling to keep its head above water.
Oddly, illegal bookmakers still prosper.

Once government and politicians are involved, abandon all hope.

Pretty much all violent criminals at least in CA are addicted to pot. We have also zombies walking out of vale shops.

Not addicted to work maybe, but not addicted to that drug? Bwahahahaha
Thanks for the humor in a horrible week of tragedy?

But psychological addictions do mean something if they reach a point where they have harmed motivation and make folks dependent on the government for support and have dragged families and even societies into a moral black hole! Liberals are the most psychologically and have the highest rates of physical addictions as well...and they have destroyed this country. So yeah some psychological crutches need to be kicked away...just as inexorably as surgeons blades cut away infection...or for that matter the rending in twain of spirit from soul through the word of God!

Where does the money go when it is sold?

Cash business by law. . so just curious as to the cash trail. . .wonder who’s handling it and can’t invest it in financial instruments or place in a bank. . .just curious.

Can’t put in a bank as that violates federal banking laws and would be seized by the feds.

Still a violation of federal law.

Just because the messiah/obummer decided not to prosecute violations of US federal law doesn’t make it legal if a state makes it so.

No one is addicted to pot.

You are the one that is humorous, not only because you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about, but you are also oblivious to the fact that you don’t know what you are talking about.

Here, let’s you and I both get educated on what an actual addiction is.

Watch this, the whole thing, it’s 44 minutes long. I dare you.

This is a sad story.

Someone else’s motivation, or lack thereof, is not your business. Each of our lives is our own to decide what we want to do with it. It is up to us as individuals to decide how to spend the limited time we are given.

Not everyone’s ultimate decisions are going to be approved of by you. But you are not an authority on other people’s decisions.

We all have our own paths to travel in this world. You should mind yours, and not mine.

You didn’t answer my question about Patrick Swayze either.

I invite you to learn about actual addiction with me.

Watch this, please let me know what you think of it.

Would love to see a study following the productivity of a recreational marijuana users in life vs non dopers.

There was such a study released not too long ago.

Sorry I didn't keep it.

It shows what most of us have known, that permanent changes take place in the brain which leads to a lifestyle that is reduced from what it would have been.

There was much more, and very specific findings, but I don't have them here.

Yeah, all you stoners can rage and protest, but those are the facts.
