Second, the Russkies have had a very good idea about what’s going on here for quite some time. I was a student at Georgetown U. back in ‘79. They have a Foreign Service school (I wasn’t in it), and thus subscribed to MANY foreign publications...including the English language version of “Pravda.” One day I got bored as Hell studying for my classes (OK, one OF the days when I got bored...), I picked up a copy to read - just to see what the enemy was thinking. Well, they told what I thought was a REAL whopper - that there was no substantive difference between the Republican and Democratic parties! This, when Reagan was pounding Carter on a daily basis for being a weak-kneed appeaser. So, I thought that they hadn’t a clue. Well, fast forward about 20 years...and I began to realize that it wasn’t the Russians who were lying, it was our own government. I haven’t changed my mind since.
In the same week they outlawed telling others about their faith without prior authorization from the state?
