This is the new/old tactic of the left. They are repeating a lie often enough, and know that the low information voters will hear it on MSNBC or wherever and repeat it. It becomes part of the false history of the event.

I’ve had silly, completely false assertions about Hillary’s email crimes spouted at me by otherwise decent people. They get their news from liberal sources, and while they may suspect it is untrue they cling to it because it is from a “reputable” source (and WANT it to be true).
