Police kill more whites than blacks, but minority deaths generate more outrage
The Washington Times ^ | April 21, 2015 | Valerie Richardson

Analysis contradicts widespread views about racial targets

Nobel Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison says she wants to see an officer shoot an unarmed white teenager in the back before agreeing that the “conversation about race” is over, but she almost certainly already has received her wish.

An analysis released last week shows that more white people died at the hands of law enforcement than those of any other race in the last two years, even as the Justice Department, social-justice groups and media coverage focus on black victims of police force.

As researchers are quick to point out, FBI data on police shootings by race is notoriously incomplete, which may explain why Peter Moskos, assistant professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York, decided to use figures from the website Killed by Police.

Based on that data, Mr. Moskos reported that roughly 49 percent of those killed by officers from May 2013 to April 2015 were white, while 30 percent were black. He also found that 19 percent were Hispanic and 2 percent were Asian and other races.

“The title of Clinton’s thesis was “There Is Only the Fight: An Analysis of the Alinsky Model.” In this title she had identified the single most important Alinsky contribution to the radical cause – his embrace of political nihilism. An SDS radical once wrote, “The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.” In other words, the cause of a political action – whether civil rights or women’s rights – is never the real cause; women, blacks and other “victims” are only instruments in the larger cause, which is power. Battles over rights and other issues, according to Alinsky, should never be seen as more than occasions to advance the real agenda, which is the accumulation of power and resources in radical hands. Power is the all-consuming goal of Alinsky’s politics.”

Given the far greater rates of violent crime perpetrated by black Americans there should be a greater percentage of police shootings involving blacks. The reason there is not is because police officers know that they risk the very kind of publish backlash and attack from self-serving liberal politicians that we see every time a police officer shoots a black perpetrator. Which means officers are exposing themselves to greater risk by too often deciding not to use force against black perpetrators when such force would be fully justified.

But of course. Ever since “In The Heat Of The Night” and “To Kill A Mockingbird” us white folk have been gluttons for punishment. Sometime after that, we lost our balls along the way.

Don't look for the government to help. They are on the other side.

Imo that is because most white ppl are not raised to be victims and taught to lay blame on others for their lot in life. Vis-a-vi we do not “pile on” abd pritest/threaten when a criminal of our own (or any race for that matter) is shot by police... typically the individual is doing something wrong and suffered the consequences. And if not and police are at fault, we believe justice will be served. (Unless, of course the officer in question is a Clinton. Then all bets are off ).

I don’t think statistics ever tell the complete story. I have not heard of any white subjects being shot 8 times in the back for fleeing as in the case of Walter Scott for example. I certainly haven’t seen it caught on video camera if it has happened.

The Liberals like to use statistics when it suits them and the only they publish those they want seen.
Look at who commits the most crimes, black on white crime, etc. To get a clear picture you must have all the pieces of the puzzle.

"The :outrage: is manufactured by a number of very cynical and very malicious people and organizations."

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
