Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) demolished FBI director James Comey’s claim Thursday that the government lacked sufficient evidence of criminal intent to prosecute former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for mis-handling classified information.

So, what exactly is Trey going to do about it beyond adding this to his Greatest Hits of Congressional Kabuki DVD?

Well, not from Congress. But there are always consequences that result from destroying the rule of law, and they do eventually affect those tyrants at the top.

That’s why Trey is ‘being allowed’ by the RINOs to do this.
This is supposed to be throwing ‘red meat’ to the Tea Party and other conservatives. We are supposed to be happily gobbling this up, and satisfied from it.

They also know that it doesn’t matter what anyone says or does not say at this point. It’s impotent rage; like an enraged Chihuahua loudly barking at the Empire State Building. The building does not hear the dog. The fix is in.

-- Lots of destroying and hole tearing going on today, but will it make a difference --

The only potential difference it makes is how the voting public takes the presentation delivered by the press. There is no possibibility of making a legal difference. Comey's job is secure.

At the very least, they should pull the security clearance that Herself now holds, as this would make it very difficult to attend White House briefings. “Out of the loop” does not make for very good public image.

Oh look, FUD shill strikes again with your single reusable comment - "what difference does it make." Ask while people are blown away by what a huge difference it is all making as more and more the facade of fraudulent Clinton claims to royalty is exposed and mocked and discussed by people who could barely whisper about it before, and now start to consider breaking from the herd.

But don't worry about it - even with the definition at the top of the Google list, you think FUD is a cartoon, rather than understood and used by tens of millions of people. And above all, remember you're invisible and no one understands your tactics.

“My favorite part? Getting Comey to state that making a false exculpatory statement = intent and consciousness of guilt.”

I agree, but unfortunately it is a victory over something about which does not belong in the conversation. Intent has no bearing on this case. Comey inserting it was improper and probably unconstitutional. It was the act of a defense attorney not an investigator and the very thing that will become the shiny object that distracts the public.

But there are always consequences that result from destroying the rule of law, and they do eventually affect those tyrants at the top.

Sure, Ceasar was assassinated in the Senate in 44 B.C. But by then the Republic was already dead letter. And it didn't get revived, either. The tyrants pay, but first they get to be tyrants. The masses at the bottom just pay.

I really feel like Chaffetz is a bit too lightweight and too nice to be chair of this committee.

Well yeah you’re probably right. Nixon was reelected in the midst of Watergate controversy. Her idiot “followers” will just love her more for this.

Stuff like “logic” doesn’t work on most people.
