The government/media power elite are spectacularly ignorant of the American people.
National Review Online ^ | July 5,2016 | by VICTOR DAVIS HANSON

Especially influential are the revolving-door multimillionaires, especially from big banks and Wall Street — the Tim Geithners, Jack Lews, Hank Paulsons, and Robert Rubins, but also the lesser flunkies of the Freddie/Fannie Clintonite crowd, a Franklin Raines (raking in $90 million) or a Jamie Gorelick ($26 million), all of whom came into the White House and its bureaucracies to get rich, but who always seem shocked when the public does not like their incestuous trails of bailouts, relief plans, favorable regulations, etc.

Creepy too are the satellite grifters like “investment banker” Rahm Emanuel — who somehow, between the White House and the House of Representatives, made off with $16 million for his financial “expertise” — or Chelsea Clinton, who made her fortune ($15 million?) largely by being a “consultant” for a Wall Street investment group (her fluff job at NBC News was small potatoes in comparison). The locus classicus, of course, is the Clinton power marriage itself, which invested nearly 40 years of public service in what proved to be a gargantuan pay-for-play payoff, when they parlayed Hillary’s political trajectories into a personal fortune of well over $100 million. Give them credit: From the early days, when they would write off as IRS deductions gifts of their used underwear, they ended up 30 years later getting paid $10,000 to $60,000 a minute for their Wall Street riffs.

The nexus between Big Government, Big Money, Big Influence, and Big Media is sometimes empowered by familial journalistic continuity (e.g., John Dickerson, son of Nancy Dickerson) or a second generation of fashion/glitz and media (Gloria Vanderbilt and Anderson Cooper), but again is increasingly expressed in the corridor “power couple,” the sorts who receive sycophantic adulation in New York and Washington monthly magazines.

The government/media power elite are spectacularly ignorant of the American people.

Let us all face this fact:

Control of the Media does constitute a "Fourth Estate" of government.

By telling the American people what they want them to hear, wealthy Liberal elites have steered elections in directions opposite to those which they would have gone in the absence of their propaganda.

We need to start requiring elections for control of the media. The information distribution system should be nationalized, and require elections, just as do the rest of the government.

“The government/media power elite are spectacularly ignorant of the American people.” And that has created Donald Trump.

Their drugs are good just like mine have been through the years.

They live in a fantasy world disconnected from reality.

Is there any reasoning with the insanity of intoxication?

The ‘right wing’ and ‘left wing’ media throw bombs at each other to help R’s and D’s, while the business and banking elites buy both parties to build a world system.

We delude ourselves if we think a referendum in the UK is enough to break the evil spell over our world or even the election of Donald Trump as POTUS.

It will take action beyond politics to change things.

No, I don’t think they’re ignorant to We the People in the least; there’s plenty written and spoken about on how the elite’s jig is finally up. It’s too obvious to ignore.

They just don’t care. The allure of money, power, and being little ‘gods’ is just to tantalizing to resist.

They’ve been convinced that the NWO is coming, and it’s either reserve a seat at the table, or be on the menu.

Charles Murray’s book about how the wealthy marrying the wealthy impact badly on lower middle-class and poor people who once could marry UP may have missed the boat on how power marrying power creates intense corruption and abuse of power. Not good.

What’s a “national review”?

Do we still post them like they are on our side?

Well, I like Victor Davis Hanson. His dissertations on the situation in Kalifornia are spot on. This article hits the nail on the head too.

Yet VDH won’t come out strongly for Trump and he continues to write for #NeverTrump NRO. And that is disappointing.

So I should find a homeless dude to marry my daughter? No, thanks. There’s a reason the poor are poor and it doesn’t have to do with rich marrying rich.

The information distribution system should be nationalized

It already is. It needs to be de-nationalized.

We need a paper ballot, purple finger dye, and public collection and counting (& recounting) of votes. And no, having to show identification and proof of voting eligibility is not racist, nor does it place an undue burden on anyone or attempt to disenfranchise any legitimate voter. This is our last chance with the ballot box. Only one box left...
