German politicians and media organizations from across the political spectrum have been scathing about Nigel Farage after he announced his resignation as leader of UKIP, Britain’s anti-EU political party.

Farage announced on Monday that he was stepping down as leader of UKIP, saying he wanted his life back. But critics have accused him of irresponsibility, as the decision means he will disappear from the political limelight with the UK’s exit from the EU, which he has long sought, looking set to become reality.

“First they lied and stirred up anger, then they created chaos and now they’ve run away. Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson show what’s important to them — not the vote in their country but pure egoism,” said Axel Schäfer, deputy leader of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in the Bundestag. …

Did they ever get around to acknowledging that Farage could not cast the millions of votes that rejected them?

I am so sick of these headlines “Germany says ...” or “France says ...” instead of “German Minister(s) say(s)” or “French Minister(s) say(s)”.... the Germans and the French have not yet had an opportunity to vote on staying in or leaving the EU. Until they do a minister under the current regimes is not qualified to speak on behalf of his or her country.

The Man for All Seasons left the stage to show that naked opportunism was not his motive, as have other great Englishmen, including the Founder of our nation, have done throughout history.

Perhaps the grandchildren of the SA, the SS, and the Gestapo might think about that.

Axe, buddy, if they really were doing it out of egoism they wouldn't be stepping gracefully into the background. They'd be at a podium blathering, like you.

I don’t get the issue here. I realize the German euroweenies have their panties all bunched up in knots, but I just don’t follow their tantrum. Why does it matter who quits a party position after an issue referendum?

They ain’t going to shut up, of course, any more than Obama can shut up when there’s a Muslim-caused massacre where he can step on the corpses to push gun control. The more they do this, the more their true nature is revealed, and they just can’t resist, either.

They are trying to make it look like he’s running away after sinking poor Britain. But if they are defining Britain’s departure from the EU as sinking the country, it reveals more about themselves than about Farage.

Farage can sleep well, he exposed the whole EU scam.
Nigel took on Germany and their corrupt puppet states and exposed the rotten lot to the voters.
Nigel Farage is a great champion for human freedom, no doubt about it, and he deserves respect and gratitude for not only seeing the mission through from inception but getting the job done using politics.
He's a quirky feisty English guy but I'm proud to call him my brother from another mother because he believes in human freedoms, unlike his adversaries.

He did what he thought was right for England and now he gets to enjoy his life, partially because he did what was right.

Excellent farewell speech by Farage to the EU whorehouse (aka EU Parliment)!

Is this the same German leadership facilitating the rape and murder of the German people by Islamic colonists?!? Farage must have done something virtuous!
