Ted Cruz Grills Snooty Jeh Johnson at Senate Judiciary Hearing
PJ Media ^ | July 1, 2016 | Debra Heine

Posted on 07/01/2016 5:40:24 PM PDT by Kaslin

Sparks flew between U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday, as Cruz continued his efforts to expose the Obama administration’s "willful blindness" to radical Islamic terrorism.

Cruz began his line of questioning by noting that DHS didn't attend the hearing he held on Tuesday, "Willful Blindness: Consequences of Agency Efforts To Deemphasize Radical Islam in Combating Terrorism."

He proceeded to fill Johnson in on what he missed, describing evidence and testimony that he said revealed a "systematic effort" to scrub all references of Islam in government documents.

"For example, in the 9/11 Commission report the word 'jihad' appears 126 times, the word Muslim appears in that report 145 times, the word Islam appears in that report 322 times," Cruz said. "And yet since that 9/11 report, new policies have been put into effect and as a matter of systematic policy those terms are no longer allowed to be used in this administration. The FBI counter-terror lexicon uses the word jihad zero times. The national Intelligence Strategy of 2009 uses jihad zero times, the Strategic Implementation Plan to Prevent Violent Extremism of 2011 uses the word zero times. The National Intelligence Strategy of 2014 uses the word zero times."

Senate Dems Ignore Removal of 'Islam,' 'Jihad' From Homeland Security Documents

"We heard testimony from a former employee of the Department of Homeland Security, Phil Haney, that in October of 2009 more than 800 Customs and Border Patrol documents were ordered modified, scrubbed, or deleted to remove references to jihad or the Muslim Brotherhood, or other similar references," Cruz said.

Cruz asked Johnson if Haney's testimony was accurate.

"I have no idea," the DHS chief answered dismissively. "I don't know who Mr. Haney is. I wouldn't know him if he walked in the room."

Haney, of course, is the "DHS whistleblower" who made a huge splash in the news last December when he spilled the beans on what the Obama administration was doing to restrict law enforcement and intelligence efforts to combat Islamic extremism.

Having quit the department a few months earlier, the San Bernardino massacre prompted him to blow the whistle on the administration because he was convinced that his investigation (which was shut down by the Obama State Department) could have prevented the attack. In February of this year, Haney went public with his claim that DHS ordered him to scrub records of Muslims with terror ties.

Willful Blindness and Radical Islam: Andrew McCarthy's Testimony

He made several appearances on Fox News as well as several radio talk shows, and wrote at least one op-ed to bring attention to his concerns.

"The Obama administration is more concerned with the rights of non-citizens in known Islamist groups than with the safety and security of the American people," Haney wrote in The Hill last December.

One wonders what kind of bubble the Homeland Security chief lives in to have missed all of that.

Next Page: "It makes no difference to me..."

Cruz continued to press the increasingly irritated Johnson, who kept saying, "Same answer, I have no idea, sir."

Asked if he would be concerned if it were true, Johnson was again dismissive: “Senator, I find this whole debate to be very interesting,” -- but -- "it makes no difference to me in terms of who we need to go after..." He touted the administration's PC line that the U.S. government shouldn’t be giving ISIS the credence that they want -- which is to be referred to as part of Islam.

Liberals Say ISIS Is to Islam What The KKK Is to Christianity

"We will get nowhere in our efforts to build bridges with Muslim communities -- which we need to do -- in this current environment right now that includes homegrown violent extremists," Johnson said. "They all tell me that 'ISIL has hijacked my religion,' and it's critical that we bring these people into our side to do this..."

Cruz stopped him right there. "You're entitled to give speeches at other times," he said. "My question was are you aware that the information has been scrubbed. I would note that the title of the hearing on Tuesday was 'Willful Blindness' and your testimony to this full committee now is that you have no idea and apparently have no intention of finding out whether DHS materials have been scrubbed."

Johnson objected to that, but Cruz was on a roll. "When you erase references to radical jihad it impacts the behavior of law enforcement and national security to respond to red flags and to prevent terrorist attacks before they occur," he argued.

Muslim Patriot: Obama's Denial of 'Radical Islamic Terror' Actually Insults Muslims, Supports Jihadis

“What concerns me, and I believe should concern the Department of Homeland Security, is that because of this effort – scrubbing your law enforcement materials of any acknowledgment of radical Islamic terrorism – when you see the red flags of radical Islamic terrorism, you do not follow up on them effectively. And we have terrorist attack, after terrorist attack, after terrorist attack that could have been prevented but for this Administration’s willful blindness.”

Personally, I’m very tired of Cruz and wish he’d just endorse and then go away for a few years.

But I’m willing to give him another chance to impress me.

I really wish we could dispense with the needless redundancy of the word radical.

There are no moderate muslims because there is nothing moderate about Islam.

FReeper MINUTEGAL posted It appears that the muzzies are now prepared with rapid-response offense/defense propaganda teams immediately after a mass shooting....and are actually granted a sounding-board of their own right along with the FBI, L/E and state and local officials in the ensuing press conferences.

And we can thank that half-wit in the WH for that....and this.

==========================================

The radical left attacks Trump for being a racist because he plans on controlling Muslim immigration into this country. According to the cockamamie thinking of the left, any President who does his constitutional duty by protecting the nation from Muslim butchers is a racist.

AND GET THIS: Obama stooge, DHS Secy 'Jeh' Johnson fatuously stating that Muslim immigrants have been successfully assimilated into American society. So, Jeh...how'd they do that?

-Back in October 2011 one of the most astute lawmen in Washington, Cong Louis Gohmert (Repub-TX), a former judge, questioned then-DHS Secy Janet Napolitano about Mohamed Elibiary, a member of the Department of Homeland Security Council (DHS) with a high level security clearance.

Elibiary allegedly accessed, illegally, from his home computer, a Texas State and Local Intelligence Community database.....(Elibiary was ousted from the Homeland Security Advisory Council for shady activities---and settled in Texas).

Napolitano managed to unglue her lips from Obama's behind---and told Cong Gohmert she knew nothing about it, and that she would "personally" do the investigation. (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

=========================================================

Obama gave 5 MILLION federal hires Obama top security clearance.

======================================================

The following have top US security clearance

Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development;

Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security
Advisory Council (ousted for using his home computer
to tap into a Texas State and Local Intelligence Community database
;

Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference;

Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC);

Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA);

Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama's Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.

==================================================

Estimates range from several thousand to approximately eight million Islamic fighters inside the United States as we type. The exact number is unknown. Several thousand could create havoc if a coordinated attack was to occur. keep in mind, on 9/11, just 19 Islamic fighters and hijackers killed almost three thousand people. One has to believe the worst case scenario----that nearly eight million are already here....and being welcomed by Obama.

......former UN Amb John Bolton called Obama’s speech in defense of Islam a “failure of presidential leadership” and labeled Obama "a small man." “The most narcissistic individual ever to sit in the Oval Office linsinuated something was wrong w/ us b/c we don’t have the tolerance that he does”........

Let's see how "tolerant" Boobamba would be if his sucking up to Muslims to get-rich-quick fails. The post-prez Boobambas are salivating for Muslim billions they see coming their way...as long as The Boob can continue the "Muslims are perfect--Americans are not" charade.

Taxpayers DEMAND to see the wire transfers in and out of Valerie Jarret's WH office.....we DEMAND to see solicitation letters the Boob is sending out for donations to his two foundations and to his billion dollar library.

His shady deal to give Iran $150 billion is earmarked w/ a return on investment. Boobamba's planning on getting a chunk of that, laundered through Muslim offshore accounts.

THE LATEST LIE---DHS CLAIMS SUCCESS IN STEMMING BORDER HORDES (cue laugh machine) "Illegal immigration across the SW border is on pace for the lowest year since 1972." DHS Secy Johnson claimed success a year after the surge of illegals exposed major holes in US policy. (source--washingtontimes.com)

So where's all the DHS Billions Johnson requested (1) for border security, and, (2) for "administering" laws that would have protected Kate Steinle, San/Bernardino and now Orlando from Muslim violence?

Homeland Security Secy seeks $41.2 billion budget for 2016
February 4, 2015 6:30 AM By BioPrepWatch Reports

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson announced a $41.2 billion budget request Monday for the 2016 fiscal year.

The budget would improve the unity of effort at the department, Johnson said, focusing on “harmonizing DHS business processes.” Along with the budget, a new Common Appropriations Structure was also submitted to Congress, which would standardize financial planning, programming and budgets for all DH agencies, Johnson said.

There are five areas the department focuses on each year, and the budget is in alignment with those five missions, Johnson said.

<><> The first mission is to prevent terrorism and enhance security in the country by implementing security for the land, air and at sea.

<><> The next mission is to secure and manage the country’s borders, and reduce the number of illegal immigrants and amount of contraband getting into the United States.

<><> The third mission includes enforcing and administering immigration laws and providing safe and secure detention of illegal immigrants in federal custody if they are a flight risk or a public safety concern.

<><> The fourth mission deals with safeguarding and securing cyberspace, which impacts economic security. The 2016 budget would invest in technology and staff to reduce cybercrime and improve the security of federal network defenses.

<><> The fifth mission, Johnson said, is to strengthen national preparedness and resilience so the country can prepare and respond to any type of disaster. <> Johnson said before Congress approves any funding for the next fiscal year lawmakers should approve funding for the current year.

“The President’s FY 2016 Budget provides the resources necessary for the Department of Homeland Security to further strengthen our efforts to fulfill our wide- ranging missions, while also being agile and vigilant in the face of ever-evolving threats and recent world events,” Johnson said. “But prior to acting on the FY 2016 Budget, I urge Congress to fully fund DHS for the rest of this fiscal year, as the current continuing resolution is disruptive, creates uncertainty, and impedes efficient resource planning and execution.”

Hannity's replacement today said he prefers the term "fundamentalist Islam."

But since that's the only Islam there is, "Islam" by itself is enough.

This actual US House Resolution follows the usual Muslim Standard Operating Procedure: A Muslim terrorist incident is followed by Muslim whining.

Muslim claims (some fabricated, some undocumented, some exaggerated) of increased hate crimes, and efforts to validate those claims, to undermine US ntl security, as in this House Resolution.

There follow Muslim efforts to censor 1) any speech that associates the terrorist incident with Islam, and, 2) any criticism of the jihad-dawa system, its activist organizations, or its dhimmi supporters.

It won’t pass, but it’s still useful to the Muslim Brotherhood to validate their claims among their own constituency, as well as to the media and the Low Information Voters, or those who just respond to any kind of “virtue-signaling”.

And it’s useful to the 82 co-sponsoring Democrats, and the DNC to claim that Republicans who did not co-sponsor are therefore, by definition:•racist; •Islamophobic; •bigoted; •engaged in hate speech, by the sin of omission of not cosponsoring; and •engaged in incitement to hate crimes, by the implied sin of hate speech resulting from the sin of omission of not co-sponsoring.

HR 569
Gates of Vienna ^ | Dec 29, 2015 | Frontinus / FR Posted by Ray76

CIRCA 2015--This House resolution won’t pass, of course, but that isn’t what’s significant about of it. What’s important is the process that is now underway in Washington D.C., of which HR 569 is just a small part. First, take a look at the text of HR 569: Condemning violence, bigotry, and hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States.

<><>Whereas the victims of anti-Muslim hate crimes and rhetoric have faced physical, verbal, and emotional abuse because they were Muslim or believed to be Muslim;

<><>Whereas the constitutional right to freedom of religious practice is a cherished United States value and violence or hate speech towards any United States community based on faith is in contravention of the Nation’s founding principles;

<><>Whereas there are millions of Muslims in the United States, a community made up of many diverse beliefs and cultures, and both immigrants and native-born citizens;

<><>Whereas this Muslim community is recognized as having made innumerable contributions to the cultural and economic fabric and well-being of United States society;

<><>Whereas hateful and intolerant acts against Muslims are contrary to the United States values of acceptance, welcoming, and fellowship with those of all faiths, beliefs, and cultures;

<><>Whereas these acts affect not only the individual victims but also their families, communities, and the entire group whose faith or beliefs were the motivation for the act;

<><>Whereas Muslim women who wear hijabs, headscarves, or other religious articles of clothing have been disproportionately targeted because of their religious clothing, articles, or observances; and

<><>Whereas the rise of hateful and anti-Muslim speech, violence, and cultural ignorance plays into the false narrative spread by terrorist groups of Western hatred of Islam, and can encourage certain individuals to react in extreme and violent ways: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the House of Representatives—

(1) expresses its condolences for the victims of anti-Muslim hate crimes;

(2) steadfastly confirms its dedication to the rights and dignity of all its citizens of all faiths, beliefs, and cultures;

(3) denounces in the strongest terms the increase of hate speech, intimidation, violence, vandalism, arson, and other hate crimes targeted against mosques, Muslims, or those perceived to be Muslim;

(4) recognizes that the United States Muslim community has made countless positive contributions to United States society;

(5) declares that the civil rights and civil liberties of all United States citizens, including Muslims in the United States, should be protected and preserved;

(6) urges local and Federal law enforcement authorities to work to prevent hate crimes; and to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law those perpetrators of hate crimes; and

(7) reaffirms the inalienable right of every citizen to live without fear and intimidation, and to practice their freedom of faith.

Did not pass.....yet.

Islamic terrorists can walk across our border every day with this turkey heading DHS, so he was Obama’s man for that job.
