Feingold misfiring on gun issue (former Wisconsin senator)

---(snip)---

"In fact, using agreement as a political cudgel is a strategy that persists. Last week, Democratic Senate candidate Russ Feingold slammed his opponent, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, as having a "shameful" approach on gun control. Earlier in the week, Johnson helped block a Senate proposal that would have barred individuals on federal terrorist watch lists from purchasing firearms — a measure that Johnson argued would deprive individuals of a constitutional right without due process.

Yet in any typical year, Johnson's largest backer on that front would be... Russ Feingold. For years, Feingold has been a critic of banning gun sales to people on government no-fly lists. Previously, the former senator has said that before government tinkers with terrorist watch lists, "it must make sure it's not restricting the fundamental rights of American citizens without due process." Feingold wrote an entire book arguing against the infringement of individual rights in the age of international terror."

Feingold is a big-government, big-taxing, big-spending leftist.

Did Senator Johnson point out that the White House would assign Lois Lerner clones to stuff that “no-fly list” with the names of patriots?

Did Senator Johnson point out the 2nd and their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution?

The ‘no-fly list’ just helps keep the narrative away from ‘..shall NOT be infringed’.

Perhaps you’re right.

But some think “mocking” works better than “reasoning” when confronting brain-dead DUmmies...

I say: Do BOTH!.

Mocking merely attempts to knock-down the ‘sound-bite du minute’ and *nothing* to dispel the narrative, nor educate on the fallacies thereof.

When do you/anyone recall any note of the DEM South/KKK or court cases noting the (black) self-protection of the 2nd? Anymore it’s ‘hunting and plinking’..never any basis on the *root* of our inalienable Right.

IMO, tar-n-feathers + rail work best, but the People lost that fortitude YEARS ago
