New York Times Suggests GOP is Responsible for Orlando Nightclub Attack
AIM ^ | June 15, 2016 | Don Irvine

The New York Times editorial board tried to lay the blame for the terrorist attack on an Orlando nightclub by an avowed ISIS supporter on Republicans who don’t support gay rights:

“Omar Mateen shattered the tenuous, hard-fought sense of personal safety that many gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans have begun to feel as the movement for equality has made significant gains in recent years. His bullets and the blood he left behind that early morning were a reminder that in many corners of the country, gay and transgender people are still regarded as sinners and second-class citizens who should be scorned.

While the precise motivation for the rampage remains unclear, it is evident that Mr. Mateen was driven by hatred toward gays and lesbians. Hate crimes don’t happen in a vacuum. They occur where bigotry is allowed to fester, where minorities are vilified and where people are scapegoated for political gain. Tragically, this is the state of American politics, driven too often by Republican politicians who see prejudice as something to exploit, not extinguish.”

The NYT lied repeatedly about the Benghazi attacks. They supported the Clinton/Obama line that an obscure internet video was responsible.

Now the NYT is promoting the lie that the Republicans are responsible for the Orlando shooting.

Yes, hate crimes fester in mosques, Muslim communities, Muslim families, and Muslim countries.

If the lgbtxyz crowd wants to turn on Islam, and especially on jihadism... be our guest. Conservatives and GOP would be the last on earth to try to stop them.

While the precise motivation for the rampage remains unclear,

How is it that he can shout Allah Akbar, call up 911 and the news people and claim he supports ISIS, there’s evidence in his life that he was a radical Muslim, and these allegedly brilliant well educated NY Times editorial writers just can’t come up with any motivations for the rampage??

Why is it that these same people, at the time of the Charleston shooting in a black church, had no problem labeling that perpetrator a racist, based on his displays of the Confederate flag??? But in the case of Muslims, there never seems to be evidence of what motivates them to commit some atrocity????

Islam hates everything that is not Islam. Had this been a synagogue the NYT would blame the attack on GOP hatred of Jews. This is what they do.

The New York Times directly embodies the sickness of soul, the blatant dishonesty that permeates the progressive left. If they were not so destructive, I would feel sorry for these deluded people.

Is the NYT bigoted against conservatives?

"While the precise motivation for the rampage remains unclear, it is evident that Mr. Mateen was driven by hatred toward gays and lesbians."

How is that evident? The only evidence to even suggest that is the fact the incident occured in a gay bar. And there's plenty of alternative explanations for that, primarily that he though this gay bar was an easy soft target where he could get a large body count.

The NYT is a propaganda sock puppet for the liberal socialist DNC, so I could care less what they think, let alone say.

The only thing the NYT is good for is emergency toilet paper, and only as a last resort.

EVERY time a terrorist attack happens, we edge closer to a major ban on guns, rather than confront the actual terrorists. So, is there a push to allowing violent jihadists into this country to force gun violence and attain a ban?
In 2008, a plan was enacted to sell weapons bought in the USA to Mexican cartel killers to increase their use in murders in Mexico with the goal of forcing a closing of guns shows in the USA. Although tamped down in the press this was leaked to the public.
Are we seeing a similar style plan but on a larger scale?

That might BE part of it, and so what. A disgruntled freeper or two notwithstanding, we don’t stand for that. Even if we thought that police ought to send them all to jail, we wouldn’t stand for a massacre.

This is worse than the simple lie that you correctly attack. They have premised this lie on a clearly implied assault on all Biblically based religious Faiths. This is a not so subtle effort at hammering a foundation pillar into the American conscience, for a coming attempt at suppression of Faith.

These mountebanks posing as journalists, are exploiting the sensitivity of the moral issues at this particular juncture, to do as much mischief as they can. This really shows--once again--their true colors.

It is ironic that they protect a lesbian who should identify most with the tragedy of Orlando. Muslim culture, the religion of Islam and its vehement abhorrence of homosexuality and the rabid-dog mentality of its doctrines aren’t to blame. It is the GOP........

The arguments are bleats, the logic is convoluted and duplicitous. There is only outright evil to blame.

Islam has been at war with everyone else since 622 A.D.
Mad Mo made it so.

They’d be singing that same song even if the terrorists set off a dirty bomb in the heart of times square where their office is. You just can’t fix stupid.

On the surface it might look like Islam is echoing biblical mores, but if so it is doing so in a distorted and hypocritical manner. This doesn’t come within a light year of how Christians are bidden to address the matter (and the way that Hebrews were told to do so in theocratic Israel doesn’t apply to our situation, or we have to also ask why we aren’t stoning sabbath breakers).

This is an excellent time to point out that “Religion” might have one answer, and the “World” might have yet another answer, but the “Gospel” has the answer that is right to the end.
