I work here to see that is hopeful - something is happening - I sense it here in Santa Monica every weekday. The anti Trump tirades in the office the whole time have been very governed.
Its odd really only the American expats who have returned are still vocal. They've missed the last 20 years of the show and still using the late 90's play book with European embellishments.
Everybody else shuts up. A couple of women who are excited about Hillary (because she a women they are up front about it)but they pretty hard lefties and even they aren't super vocal.
If Hillary truly is polling better right now I am not too concerned because her support might be a mile wide but its an inch deep.
You can see it peoples eyes when they disengage from a work political discussions - Trump supporters (there are a ton of us)
