The media have lost their minds after Trump's magnificent speech on Monday. It's all hands on deck, no attack is too extreme. Their main point is: DO NOT LOOK AT THAT SPEECH. It has "words that wound." Much too dangerous even to read it.
Instead of reporting what Trump said, the media give us the "gist" of it (in the sense of an unrecognizable distortion). It was awful, Hitlerian, beneath our dignity as a nation. They lie about what he said and then attack their own lies as if they're attacking Trump.
The Washington Post's headline, which got their reporters banned from Trump's press briefings, was: "Donald Trump Seems to Connect President Obama to the Orlando Shooting."
I guess OK, You're Right, didn't sound professional, so the Post pretended not to understand Trump's speech, at all. We can't makes heads or tails of it, but he seems to be saying ...
One thing Trump is not, is unclear.
Contrary to the Post's headline suggesting that Trump had posited some crazy theory about Obama secretly meeting with Omar Mateen to plot the attack -- No, this gun is much better for a mass shooting, Omar -- Trump criticized the Obama administration policies that are not keeping us safe. (It's completely unprecedented to respond to a mass murder by criticizing the policies that allowed it to happen!)
After San Bernardino and Orlando -- also, the Boston Marathon, Fort Hood, Little Rock, Chattanooga and Times Square -- quite obviously, Trump is right.
That was magnificent. The best part, paraphrased, they lie about what Trump Saud, then attack their lies. So true!
Saud = said
Score another one for auto correct.
The media lies. They heard the speech, and they know most of their audience did not, so they feel totally free to lie about it. Congress does the same thing, claims what it passed is one thing, but anybody who reads the law finds out otherwise.
It was by far the best policy speech of the past few years.
Yep. The strawman approach to winning the argument. Frame it yourself, rebut it yourself. Works every time.
This gave me a chuckle. ((I know it was the pernicious autocorrect)) But this is a word combination that we never, ever want to see.
Over half a million people watched the speech in just a single youtube channel that I just checked.
I’d be curious to know if any of the networks carried it live.
That’s not what I heard on Facebook. I heard he set a Girl Scout on fire and promised to dismantle the Iwo Jima Memorial so he could replace it with a statue of Baal.
You did not just see an Islamist radical murder innocent people.
You saw a sad example of white Christian gun toting neanderthal anti gay hatred fester up in a normal red blooded American.
The inability to crack this wall of media deceit with the reality that Obama and democrats have put us in harms way, is reason to focus on plan B: Surviving in a post American world while being targeted for extinction.

Isis has apparently taken over Facebook. The Orlando terrorist was posting propaganda live on Facebook during the shooting and a French police officer was just stabbed on a live video feed on Facebook.
But a group called “Women for Trump” was threatened by Facebook to have their account banned because of “hate speech”.
It is blatantly obvious, as Coulter points out, that all of the media and all of the hierarchy of both parties and all of the globalist corporations will stop at nothing to prevent Trump from winning this election. It is important that we all recognize this now and act accordingly. If we, as a people, are to save this country, then we must accept and understand that we are on our own.
Try typing "prog" one time. I think FReepers ought to agree that prig is an acceptable autocorrect substitution for prog. Er, prig.
Obama’s lawyerly approach to terrorism is not working.
It’s reactive, ex post facto, etc.
Yes, and he went to Texas and burned Tom Landry’s hat and said bad things about Willie Nelson! /s
He should give it again and again as part of every stump speech. Then gin up similar speeches for the economy, the environment, foreign policy, defense, and justice.
I've had my moments wishing he'd be more disciplined at the lectern, and his speech was an awakening. He can do this. And he should. You're right. Best speech of the Obama years for sure.
I’ve heard a lot of commentary on TV by those who obviously didn’t listen to or read the transcript of the speech. I also know people personally who are saying, “Trump said this or that, how terrible,” and when I ask them if they listened to the speech, they say, “I don’t have to listen to it, I just know that he’s a terrible guy, and says terrible things.” There is no arguing with such morons.
“Hey, I kinda like prog”
Well it does rhyme with frog. Oh, wait, you sent a link. Cool!
But. I’m going with prig.
