This story is not over.
Lexington and Longmeadow. They will be back.
Lexington and Longmeadow, fac- ing similar attacks on our Second Amendment render different re- sults.
As our readers are well aware by now, the residents of multiple municipalities throughout the Commonwealth were taken by surprise upon discovering their guaranteed freedom under attack within their city or town.
What transpired was truly a tale of two towns.
The anti-Second Amendment ar- ticles filed in Longmeadow and Lexington were startlingly similar, almost word for word in many ar- eas.
Both articles focused on banning property, restricting freedom and harassment of the most highly vetted individuals in town. Nei- ther petitioner offered any real so- lutions regarding violent crime.
When GOAL received word of these attacks we used our channels to get the word out. When GOAL members from both Longmeadow and Lexington contacted us we were able to link them up with other members who were their neighbors, many didnt know each other at the time, but that would quickly change.

If the people of Lexington had banned guns in 1774, they’d all be speaking English.
As opposed to ‘merican?
You had better realize that they want to take guns from non-violent, honest individuals, and leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
No, they'd all be speaking German.

The original comment was very much tongue in cheek, but this story more than any other shows how our country has changed and not for the better. Lexington Green is exactly why we have a 2nd Amendment to our Constitution. If they ban guns, the same community that started the fight for our basic freedoms and liberties are saying they no longer want those freedoms and liberties.
If the people of Lexington thought the same way 242 years ago, we would never have been a free county. It’s so sad to see how people just “don’t get it.”
my family is from Lexington and Concord areas.
navy and airforce.
this type of anti-American bs really boils my blood.
GOAL is the best we can get in MA. It’s far from perfect.
Massachusetts (and to a lesser extent, the rest of New England) needs to be re-taken from the forces of tyranny. Connecticut may be a lost cause, but the rest at least should be freed of crypto-Marxist tyranny. It’s not right that the cradle of the American Revolution and original locus of Liberty should be distorted into the quasi-eurofascist entity it currently is.
Looking at 3-5 inches of rain today but life's good!
In Maine we have Constitutional Carry and the most conservative governor in the country in the form of Paul LePage.
We’re not Assachusetts.
Granted that Maine is doing a lot better, but you guys still have that festering Somali colony in Portland, and the economy up there is way too dependent on tourism. I’d love to move there, but jobs are still scarce. Until all (or at least almost all) of New England is free of leftism, any gains will be tenuous.
The Somalis are mostly in Lewiston.....I’ve been in Maine for about 24 years and I’ve never seen one. Then again, I never go to Lewiston.
The problem with Portland isn’t Somalis, it is moonbats who move there from Massachusetts, partly because it’s not that hard to commute to Boston.
We do have “earthquake refugees” from Haiti, but they seem to be older and don’t cause any problems.
You’re right about jobs being scarce. And the tourists disappear after the Fall foliage season end. (They’re back now).
It’s not just New England that needs to be free from leftism; we will all be better off if America as a whole were free of it.
Well, it is communist Massachusetts, after all. I usually get some flak for saying such, but its becoming wholly undeniable these past few years...so maybe not today. I live there a couple of decades - it is communist.
Lexington and Concord, a law firm or towns in MA?
An aircraft carrier or grape jelly?
The start of the revolution and birth of the Second amendment?
Or a people who condemns their ancestors and dooms their posterity.
I hope that I never meet these people.
