McConnell: Holder 'Worst' AG, Snowden Comments 'Truly Outrageous'

Former Attorney Gen. Eric Holder’s contention that former NSA contractor Edward Snowden performed a “public service” by leaking classified documents is “outrageous,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday.

“That’s a truly outrageous comment,” the Kentucky senator told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” program. “It makes me glad I voted against confirming him. He’s the worst attorney general in history.” […]

McConnell, pivoting to his book, recounted behind-the-scenes dealings with President Barack Obama, saying that it was Vice President Joe Biden who was the one who could really get things done. “The president is a very smart guy, but I think it’s a little grating for him to continue to try to impress you with his intelligence when you're in a meeting that you’re trying to make progress on things that needed to be done,” said McConnell. “Fortunately he did delegate Joe Biden on several key occasions.” …

Ah, so Loretta Lynch, whom McConnell did vote to confirm, is not the worst. So relieved to find that out.

Never mind holding the opinion of Obama being “a very smart guy”.

Wait'll she refuses to indict Hillary. That will settle the issue once-and-for-all!

He’s the worst attorney general in history.”

Holder stands out, even in a list that contains Janet Reno and Loretta Lynch.

Holder was held in contempt of Congress, but they let him off the hook. So it is now meaningless to be held in contempt.

Correct. The current UNIPARTY makes sure none of them ever gets in trouble for anything. Lynch appointment proved it once and for all.

This sums up exactly what is wrong with the GOP. Maybe McConnell really does, truly believe that Holder was a horrible AG. OK, so what did he do about it? The GOP leadership is all talk and no action. Its why no one has any respect for them anymore. The Dems can stop conservative legislation with only one house under their control. The GOP can only roll over with the entire Congress under their control. And then they tell us afterward how horrible it all was.

"Former Attorney Gen. Eric Holder’s contention that former NSA contractor Edward Snowden performed a “public service” by leaking classified documents"

Anyone find some interesting parallels with another person the new attorney general is having to decide to indict or not?

At best it's an argument for Snowden calling Holder as a defense witness should he ever go to trial, and at worst Holder just tainted the entire American jury pool which should result in a mistrial should Snowden ever face a trial.

The plain facts of the matter:

- Snowden told us the truth
- The government lied its ass off to us (and Congress) repeatedly
- The government acted, and continues to act, in violation of the Constitution

And yet it will be a big seller, strange huh? As Junior Samples used to say Truth is stranger than Facts.
