Iranian Lawmakers: The U.S. Must Compensate Iran for Damages Caused over Six Decades
MEMRI TV ^ | 5/17/16 | Al-Manar TV (Lebanon)

Iranian lawmakers have passed a bill requiring the government to seek compensation for damages allegedly caused by the U.S. over six decades. MP Hassan Kamran said that the Iranians would turn to international law in order to counter anti-Iranian U.S. measures. Over $50 billion of Iran’s money is still held in American banks under the false pretext of Iranian support of terrorism, he added. The report aired on Hizbullah’s Al-Manar TV on May 17, 2016.

Following are excerpts

Interviewer: A new bill requires the Iranian government to seek compensation for damages that the U.S. caused Iran for six decades, since the 1950's. The bill requires the government to obtain compensation for damages caused by the hostile and anti-Iranian American policy.

Mehrdad Lahouti, Iranian MP: The US must compensate us for the damages it caused us when it supported the coup against Mosaddegh in 1953, for the 17,000 Iranian martyrs who were killed in terrorist attacks, and for over 200,000 martyrs who were killed in the war (with Iraq), which was forced upon Iran. They were all killed as a result of America's support for attacks against Iran.

Interviewer: The Iranian parliament, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, are examining ways to file legal suits in international courts, following Washington's confiscation of two billion dollars of Iran's money, under the pretext that this money would serve to compensate victims of attacks, in which Washington accused Tehran of being an accomplice.

Hasan Kamran: We will respond to the American measures in kind. In addition, we will sue Washington for its conduct. We will turn to international law, in order to counter the American measures against us.

Interviewer: More than 50 billion dollars of Iran's money are still held in American banks, under the pretext that Tehran supports what Washington calls "terrorist activity," and due to Iran's support of resistance movements in the region.

$100 billion in freed assets and carte blanche to develop nukes isn’t enough?

I hope Trump annihilates their nuke facilities and sends the mullahs a few Hellfire missiles.

Will gladly. Lets add a few more things to the list tho.. once we nuke Tehran and take care of the mullah’s permanently I’m happy to say oops - sorry... (NOT)

Maybe Iran would like a list of what damages they owe the American people and the world first?

What kind of compensation did the 400 American hostages get?

Did Iran ever pay for the damages they did to our embassy in Tehran?

The only thing Iranian mullahs deserve is a custom made MOAB delivered to their door step.

"The only thing we owe Iran is a long over due shipment of supersize asswhup."

But, but back in 1953 there was the CIA, a coup d'état, and some Shah dude. You know, Americans and the Brits controlling the country's oil assets. Therefore it would not surprise me if Obama and his ideologues agree that the US in fact owes reparations to Iran.

Iran will get what it wants from US since they have the sensitive HRC Emails necessary to make it happen.

Loose lips sink ships
but loose emails by HRC sinks US foreign policy

We can be blackmailed for a decade.
