Donald Trump on Friday said it would be “inappropriate” to hold a debate with Bernie Sanders, throwing cold water on an idea that had captivated the political world in recent days.
"As much as I want to debate Bernie Sanders — and it would be an easy payday — I will wait to debate the first place finisher in the Democratic Party, probably Crooked Hillary Clinton, or whoever it may be," Trump said in a statement.
The presumptive GOP presidential nominee added that it "seems inappropriate" to debate the "second place finisher."

Really STUPID of him to rescind his challenge! The Shrillary campaign was already whispering that Trump was being “disrespectful” to her as the obvious Democrat candidate. Several newsreader females here in the Chicago news market started saying that exact phrase on air last night during newsreader propaganda newscasts.
As we have seen Trump do so many times in the past, he is playing this for all it’s worth. He will end up doing the debate, in my opinion. He is just trying to up the ante.

I don’t have a problem that Trump won’t debate Sanders.
BUT he should not have said earlier that he would. He needs to count to 100 before tweeting or making statements.
The debate is inconsequential, the point is, Trump is controlling the dialogue. This debate may or may not happen but it’s going to be on Trumps terms.

This was a dumb idea to start with. What does he gain by debating a Socialist. I am glad he decided not to do this. It would have been biased against him anyway.
