President Obama's last year in office will indeed include a vacation trip to Martha's Vineyard.

While the White House hasn't put out information confirming the visit, the Cape Cod Times reports that the Coast Guard said the president is flying to the island and staying for up to three weeks this summer.

Oak Bluffs is indeed a black enclave on Martha’s Vineyard. Many,many well to do black professionals summer there. While visiting the Island, a few years ago, I went on a house tour,with some friends, which was hosted by the women of the local church. All of the homes were owned by blacks and one was more spectacular than the next.

Obama takes long vacations — silence from the liberals.

Some deranged liberals even blamed Bush for not preventing 9.11 because he spent most of August 2001 at his ranch on vacation.

Once again, the liberals have different criteria to evaluate the issue of presidential vacations, depending on which president is being evaluated, and what political leanings he has.

I was there years ago and remember that the homes were Victorian with lots of gingerbread. Very cute. But it’s a small island and I couldn’t imagine wanting to be cooped up there with traffic, etc. Give me Maine on Penobscot Bay where I’m going this summer!

I hasten to remind people that president Bush vacationed at either his Crawford, TX ranch or his family’s compound at Kennebunkport, ME. He and the first lady frequently utilized Camp David for weekends away from the WH as well as some holidays.

IIRC there were at least a couple times that he and the family celebrated Christmas at Camp David for one reason being it was much easier and more convenient for his Secret Service detail than traveling elsewhere at the Holidays. This meant that his detail were afforded the opportunity to spend at least part of the Holidays with their own families. These considerations for others is called compassion and caring about someone besides yourself.

Narcissists don’t know or understand such behaviors. You can’t expect Il Douchebag to understand this line of thinking, he doesn’t think about anything except himself, always.
