Judge Hanen has ordered all DOJ attorneys appearing in any federal court of the 26 affected states to attend three hour mandatory ethics classes, this year and every year, for a period of five years. In addition Judge Hanen has given Loretta Lynch 60 days to file a written response outlining what specific corrective action she is personally taking to ensure all DOJ attorneys are truthful and honest:

DOJ lawyers attend ethics class.

DOJ provide a list of every name, address, and location of each DAPA recipient who was granted unlawful immunity.

Attorney General to deliver a corrective plan within 60 days.

WOW! Hanen for Supreme Court!

Seems to be the only judge of note who holds the government to account.

Ethics classes are not enough unless they take place behind bars.

From this thread

Judge orders ‘intentionally deceptive’ DOJ lawyers to take remedial ethics classes

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3432101/posts?page=33#33
there was a separate order affecting the lawyers who misled the judge.
The lawyers are allowed to be in this judge’s court room sort of by invitation. (I forget the legal term.) The judge has reportedly removed that permission for those lawyers. This order would apparently apply in all 26 states which were plaintiffs in the case.
Some lawyers might be able to shrug off being banned in half the states but there might be others for whom that is a punishment.

WOW! Bet Lynch is sitting on a block of ice somewhere! I hope she tries thumbing her nose and Hannen and gets herself thrown in the slammer for contempt. Hannen has had it up to his eyeballs with the DOJ.

This is nuts. If all the lawyers at Just-Us had to take and abide by ethics standards, there’d be no one left employed there.

The ethics classes will probably be in Hawaii. First Class and 5-star. Nothing but the finest when the tax-slaves are buying!

I read the order and it's simply stunning.

The Obama Admin lawyers just flat openly, knowingly and blatantly lied to a Federal Judge to cover up illegal conduct on the part of the Obama Administrion.

I'm surprised the Judge did not order disciplinary actions against the the responsible lawyers.

What he did was actually much harsher punishment in a way.

He is institutionally punishing the entire DOJ - to the extent that they appear in the courts in jurisdictions covered by the 26 States that have been damaged by the DOJ actions.

There are a lot of highly ethical lawyers in the DOJ who are appalled at the unprecedented unethical conduct and actions of the current Obama/ Holder/Lynch Department of Injustice

All of these ethical lawyers will have to attend ethics workshops for the next five years to remind them of transgressions of the Obama apparatchiks.

I suspect that, if Donald Trump is elected and Trey Gowdy is appointed Atty General, the Judge's ruling will be much less than Trey's remedial actions.

The Judge's Ruling is also clever because the way he has written this order, it will be virtually impossible for the Supreme Court to not take notice of the DOJ's lawless conduct in this case

Who gets to prepare the ethics courses?
To ‘rats, any behavior is arguably “ethical” if it serves the “greater good” as they define it. Great decision, though!

What about the ethics of not going after a former Secretary of State who completely avoided all sense of compliance with the Public Records Act of 1950? She broke this law publicly, who was a scofflaw on the issue for years, and by breaking this law is now fully ineligible to hold ANY public office. Saying it was “poor judgement”, or saying “sorry ‘bout that” is not an adequate set of penalties.

Not really a punishment at all. They still get paid. Will probably get bonus’. Nothing in their file. DOJ will not punish. They gave the orders. These lawyers didn’t do this on their own. They are still thumbing their noses at the public by refusing to act on Hillary’s crimes. Maybe they will have to take a 6 hour course on ethics. No harm-No Foul Ruling.

A "correction plan" is a waste of time.

What the judge should have done is file a complain with the appropriate bar association, and started disbarment proceedings.

Even if they don't get disbarred, the complaint will remain on their records. THAT will leave a mark on them, for the rest of their careers.

The judge can't fire them. But, he can file a complaint with their respective bar associations.
