Judge orders ‘intentionally deceptive’ DOJ lawyers to take remedial ethics classes

A federal judge ordered the Justice Department to send its lawyers back to remedial ethics classes Thursday after finding that the administration repeatedly misled the court in the high-profile challenge to President Obama’s deportation amnesty.

In a scathing 28-page ruling, Judge Andrew S. Hanen said the lawyers knew the administration was approving amnesty applications but actively hid that information from the court and from the 26 states that had sued to stop the amnesty.

Judge Hanen thought about tossing all of the government’s arguments out, but said since the merits of the case are now pending before the Supreme Court, he couldn’t do that...

C'mon judge, why not order them fired for lying to the court.

How about doubling-down regarding DoJ ethics in allowing Hillary to skate on ServerGate?

These goons are probably chucking over it. This will be feather in their caps for the rest of their career there.

Disbarment seems appropriate

ANYONE can report the activity to the local bar’s disciplinary board. They really should have a permanent record from what they’ve done here, a permanent black mark against their names. Lawyers get f’d over by their bars for far less than this.

But they did adhere to the Obama-Holder-Lynch Standard for Legal Ethics, i.e., they lied, fabricated, misled, overlooked, and covered-up. The same legal ethics are at work in the Hillary crimes investigation.

Gangsters run the DOJ/FBI now.

This from the same Justice Department that would be responsible with prosecuting Shrillary.

Agreed, disbarment or at the very least disciplinary action by the local bar.

A whiff and a miss. The judge takes a dive. This is no penalty at all and may be even an excuse to send the attorneys on a taxpayer junket to a seminar somewhere warm and luxurious.

Long past time to overhaul and toss into the dumpster most of the convoluted courts systems of this beleaguered and pitiful nation.

C'mon judge, why not order them fired for lying to the court.

I don't think he can do that, but he can file a complaint with their respective bar associations, and ask them to initiate disbarment proceedings.

Of course, whether they will actually do so is open to question. It would depend on who conducted the proceedings.

I’m sure you’re right, it’s for sure these turkeys deserve more than remedial ethics classes.

send its lawyers back to remedial ethics classes ...

Classes? I thought lawyers were disbarred for lying before a federal court.
