Despite everything being promoted by the American Left and their media allies, the so-called “bathroom war” in North Carolina is a diversionary tactic. One designed to obscure the greater agenda while establishing a beach head for its implementation.
The greater agenda begets a question: What is gender identity? Quite simply, it is the leftist attempt to deny the “evidence of the senses,” and establish — by force of law, no less — that sexual “reality” is whatever one chooses it to be, all of the inconvenient chromosomal and genital evidence notwithstanding.
And while this is the current focus, it is vitally important to understand that it is only the opening gambit in the Left’s ongoing effort to fundamentally transform the United States of America — into a nation where their power is absolute.
If self-identification becomes the ultimate standard, and Americans are required by law to use that standard for determining one’s sex, then the government has granted itself the power to define reality itself as nothing more than a state of mind. If that happens, why not two plus two equals five, if the bastardization of math becomes politically useful? Why not insist gravity and other “external realities” are nothing more than similar mental constructs, if power can be maintained by such a despicable assertion?
Furthermore, is there any doubt recent efforts by leftists on college campuses to remove certain historical artifacts that “offend” them, amounts to anything less than an effort to change the past? Or that common sense has already been dismissed as heresy? Or that “thinking otherwise” is being prosecuted by 16 Democrat Attorneys General targeting companies that dare to dissent from leftist dogma regarding the “settled science” of global warming that is anything but?
A week ago, Harvard University — five of whose graduates currently sit on the Supreme Court — announced that members of organizations that are independent, single-sex, and off-campus will no longer be considered for Rhodes and Marshall scholarships, and will be banned from leadership positions in on-campus organizations and athletic teams. Thus a citadel of so-called higher learning is tossing constitutionally protected “freedom of association” on the ash heap of history in pursuit of its radical leftist agenda.
Perhaps they are taking their cue from 70-year-old Harvard professor Mark Tushnet, who insists that liberals have won the culture war, and all that remains “is how to deal with the losers.” In that regard, Tushnet states that “a hard line seemed to work reasonably well in Germany and Japan after 1945.” He further insists that liberals “should be compiling lists of [court] cases to be overruled at the first opportunity on the ground that they were wrong the day they were decided,” and attempting to “exploit the ambiguities and loopholes in unfavorable precedents that aren’t worth overruling.” Toward those ends, Tushnet advises his allies to embrace a “f—k Anthony Kennedy” mindset in pursuit of their agenda.
That a leftist hack like Tushnet would compare conservatism with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan should surprise no one. Like his fellow leftists — including “news” curators at Facebook who not only routinely censored conservative news stories from the site’s trending news module, but artificially promoted other stories not popular enough to warrant inclusion — the ends justify the means.
And once again: The ends are unassailable power. Power to enforce their agenda by any means necessary, and to ultimately prosecute those who refuse to kowtow.
Thus the administration is also going after the biggest impediment to that agenda. Using the Social Security system as its vehicle, the Obama administration intends to deem anyone who has help in managing his or her affairs as “mentally unfit” to purchase a gun. This goes hand in hand with leftist efforts to vastly expand liability against gun manufacturers whose weapons are used in the commission of a crime, as well as the administration’s effort to embrace smart gun technology that will limit the use of a firearm solely to its owner.
Many leftists will undoubtedly scoff at the examples set forth here. Yet all of them are signposts pointing in exactly the same direction, awaiting the possible crowning achievement of making reality itself nothing more than the party-controlled, mental construct envisioned by Orwell. That’s the real agenda behind the bathroom wars. Nothing more, nothing less.
This is a huge gambit on the left’s part.
They are betting that America rolls over once again. They believe their constant broadcasting of non-reality in the media, their media attacks on any dissenting voice, and their justice department hammer will SILENCE the population, and at a minimum it will establish their new offensive as a ‘legitimate’ discussion.
Already, just about EVERYBODY is keeping silent. Baseball great Curt Schilling has been silenced and fired, North Carolina is viewed with contempt and being blackballed.
We should have risen up at the abortion decision....at the prayer in public decision...at the gay marriage decision...but we didn’t.
I guess they had fully conditioned us prior to those decisions.
We will engage in recall elections for politicians who kowtow or we will have reality defined for us in the future.
We have experienced ‘creeping socialism’ for years.

The real purpose behind the “bathroom wars” is to breakdown societal morays. Marxists know they must, eliminate the middle class, confiscate firearms, and breakdown societal norms before communism can take hold. Make no mistake, this is exactly what’s happening.
The left has to destroy the Western mindset, so that their utopia will be more appealing. So they have been working for decades to “un-common-sense” everybody.

Exactly. The danger is twofold: one, that a human agency is permitted to define reality, which is not subjective; and two, that the government granted that power TO ITSELF. The latter defies the very precept of our political structure, that governments derive their powers from the consent of the governed.
Just like pretending that queer relationships are marriages, the Left seeks to move the normalcy goalposts by pretending that men are women and vice versa. Or that sex is actually fluid, and can change by whim. This is less about bathrooms and transgender freaks than it is about what defines a society's standards: the exceptions or the rules?
And who is to be the final arbiter of those rules and those exceptions? Is it to be The People, or is it to be some faceless kommisar who daily decrees what reality shall be that day? Are we such cowards that we would allow the government to coerce us into betraying our own senses, and our own sense?
The leftist agenda in a nutshell:
We must be
1. Silenced.
2. Disarmed.
3. Immobilized.
4. Eliminated.
I’m chuckling a bit at the folly of the left in this one, because it has managed to assail an American fig leaf.
We could talk boringly with numbers and statistics and theory and even history about how having pan-sexual bodily elimination facilities may do little or nothing to effect the larger prevalence of sex crimes, but we would have missed the point.
People are not thinking of this. People are thinking that their dignity has been assailed. Now this would be a great place to begin reflecting upon the Source of all human dignity, which is humanity’s Creator. It’s no more possible to successfully assail this than it is to bail the ocean out with a bucket. And it could lead to a calm, reasoned answer to the conflict. But people are in the conundrum of defending “what’s right” without actually defending faith, and I fear this will lose if it continues to go down that road. The bible says nothing about segregation of bathrooms! It does speak of adultery and inappropriate presentation of nakedness (forbidden homosexually as well as heterosexually, so it isn’t just sex segregation that is needed), and it also speaks of the fallen shame of nakedness which led Adam and Eve to attempt garbing themselves in fig leaves.
I sure hope that the Lord comes soon with His loincloths of skins, so to speak, before we get too frantic with the fig leaves.
Yep - one of the guys on FOX agreed with Texas that the WH is engaging in strong-arm blackmail. He then pointed out that the WH is making demands on a topic w/o defining the term "transgendered" and said that under the "guidelines" he might consider identifying as a woman to get special dispensation for starting a business....not all the FOX crew are in the bag - especially those before 10 AM CST.

This article needs to be given to all 20 & 30 somethings too busy with families and facebook/twitter, etc. to see what is going on with government.
I do not even feel safe anymore (in my 60’s) with law officers. You never know when they want to get you for something, know you will pay for your ticket (and they need the money when releasing illegals for the same ticket unpaid), if you are in a sanctuary city you have no rights when you find yourself in a situation that they infringed your safety, etc. Even police/military are seeing the effect of trying to do the right thing and being punished. The criminals (most repeat) are the ones in the right.
No wonder guns and ammo companies are good investments now!

The principle in that passage, which applied to a unique theocratic state (Israel) should be taken to heart by the church. It is the city on a hill. Not any secular land in which it may live. We can’t let Uncle Sam be our godfather. We’re going to lose, lose, lose if we try, even if we could get a Mother Teresa to be president for once.
I’m reminded of Delores Umbuage in the Harry Potter books, where the number of edicts grew to the point where a tall ladder was required to reach open wall space to nail them to.
Big Brother pales by comparison to the way our government is controlling our lives.
They don’t ever seem to pull any cultural enormity too soon. By too soon, I mean when we are just not far enough down the cultural slope yet where folks will actually fight about it. Or at least they haven’t so far, right? Good grief, we haven’t had 65% eligible voter turn out since 1908, at least by what I have seen.
So I’m not sure it actually is a gambit. They might have nailed the timing once again, by simply having a better read on the cultural pulse than culturally sane folks actually do.
Remember when we voted for all those marriage amendments? Most on our side saw that as a great victory because of their overwhelming general success at the time, right? But maybe when you are at the point of having to actually hold votes on if you want ‘gay marriage’ or not it really is a pretty bad sign. It’s not like there is one state that would now vote for a marriage amendment by more than it originally passed by, right?
Just like the bare fact of having a debate about men using women’s bathrooms might not be a very good sign and a pretty bad indicator. We’ll see, I suppose.

Orwell was right. He was off by only a couple of generations. At the highest levels, this is how the elites of the Left see us, and this is what they mean to do to us. They are all monsters, and there is only one way to stop them.
