Good morning!

Yes, it is. He puts himself out there. He called in to Fox & Friends again this a.m. Steve said they also invited Hillary and Bernie to come on and both declined. I’ve heard that quite a few times from some of the Fox folks, especially on F&F - they invited all the candidates to come on and Trump is the only one that repeatedly takes them up on it.

Enjoy your day off!

Good morning. We had a Waffle House in this area. Then, they left. My favorite was their pecan syrup. I swear I could drink it straight.

Hi Lysie!

I’ve never been to a Waffle House. We have IHops up here and Denny’s. When I lived in Denver years ago we used to go to the Village Inn Pancake House. They had great pancakes and waffles and assorted syrups on the table. I don’t recall that 1 of them was pecan, but that sounds yummy. I used to love their boysenberry and their maple was good, too.

Dad loved their pecan waffles Judy made sure the nuts were chopped finely for him. She absolutely loved and babied him. (And I tipped well)

They also fried his eggs exactly like mom did. A task I never mastered. OTOH he loved eating out so it may have just been a ruse to go somewhere When he had radiation for skin cancer we went somewhere after every treatment. Sometimes driving 40 miles to eat where he wanted to go. Just glad he was up to and enthusiastic about eating!

You took so good care of him. I love eating breakfast out. Haven’t done so in a while, may have to do so soon. There’s a Denny’s and an IHOP not far from me. The Grand Slam at Denny’s is pretty tasty, though it’s a lot of food.

I heard that and loved it! He’s been on a few Fox programs the past month or 2 and is definitely pro-Trump.

Get a container and divide breakfast in half. Take the part that warms in micro with you. If they serve two pancakes I eat one and take one. Always eat eggs but take part of meat. It’s next day breakfast without cooking.
I often order the largest meals (red Lobster and others) knowing it will be two meals. Dividing the portion when served also keeps me from over eating.

I usually do the same thing. I wish we had a Red Lobster near me - I love lobster and we get the commercials here and everything always looks so good.

When dad was away, my mom would say, “let’s have breakfast for dinner.” I loved hearing those words. LOL

We always went on moms birthday — her favorite.
Think I’ll plan lunch there this year. Dad died just days after her birthday so it will be a sweet memory day. ?And I will order extra crab legs and eat them all myself. Was so busy cleaning them for him seldom got any. Lol )

I loved that, too! We used to have breakfast for dinner now and then during Lent - no meat but eggs and pancakes or waffles. My sister still does breakfast for dinner now and then and my nephew loves it. I don’t buy it as it’s too much for just me, but Costco has some bacon that’s already cooked and you can just microwave - it’s quite good. I saw a smaller package at the grocery, but it was rather pricey for the size of the package.

All this talk about breakfast - I may have to go out or go to the store and buy some Bisquick or frozen waffles ;-)

Good for you.

After your stellar work in Indiana in behalf of Trump, you deserve it.

That would be a nice memory day.

On the 1st anniversary of my mom’s passing, my sister and I went shopping (Mom loved to shop) and had lunch - spent the day in her memory doing what she liked. We had the added bonus of having my nephew, who was about 6 months old at the time, with us.

Crab legs - yum! Will be a nice treat for you! If I weren’t so far away, I’d join you :-)

Me too. We love eggs for breakfast. Lunch or dinner
Love fixing omlets or pancakes or French toast or ..... Or.......
One of our favorites is spinach pie (it’s actually a quiche...). Dad eventually called in Cousin Pie because I fixed it when the cousins visited. Fresh fruit and coffee made it a meal. Quick, easy and good for any meal of the day.

A good friend , Gloria was dying of cancer we spent a day shopping and ate lunch at a local. She ordered strawberry pie, chocolate sundae with added whip cream and a root beer float. The waitress was perplexed so she explained. “Life is short . I’m dying so it’s shorter I will eat what I like most!”
Every now and then a friend and I have a Gloria Day— Life is short! Crab legs goes in that category
