Trump tells crowd Clinton wants to 'abolish' Second Amendment
The Hill ^ | May 7, 2016 | Evelyn Rupert

Donald Trump threw a new claim Hillary Clinton's way at a Saturday rally, telling the crowd that she wants to do away with the Second Amendment.

"Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to abolish it," Trump said at a Saturday rally in Lynden, Wash. "Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to take the bullets away."

"We're going to cherish the Second Amendment, we're going to take care of the Second Amendment."

Clinton is in favor of universal background checks, closing loopholes on gun purchases and increasing restrictions on domestic abusers and the mentally ill. And she wants to repeal the law that prevents victims of gun violence from suing retailers or manufacturers, among other measures.

But Clinton said at a recent event that "we can't ignore the Second Amendment" and has never proposed ending legal gun ownership entirely.

After Trump's comments, Clinton spokesman Jesse Lehrich tweeted that the presumptive GOP nominee has "no regard for facts."

Reagan carried.

Bet the farm Trump will continue to carry.

No one cares more about you continuing living than you.

“I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged,” the White House hopeful replied, embracing not only a mandated national buyback program but getting rid of handguns in the United States.

Mandated national buyback program. Hmmmmm kinda like Obamacare - mandated health insurance. I can hear the pitch now “if you like your gun, you can keep your gun”

Yeah, that is an exception. Though it still follows the irony rule. Ask Congress to promote XXX and it is hindered. Ask Congress to stop XXX and the grey/black market thrives.

What percent did Bush (GW) give us? 10%, 20%, 30?

Trump cares about his image. He has made promises. He’s going to follow through.

On this issue alone, if any low-IQ, zero-morality, so-called REPUBLICAN votes for Hillary... they PROVE they are LIFETIME LIARS.

Lifetime.

They have ALWAYS been lying to us.

Every day of their stinking POS lives.

Hear that, Ryan?

Hear that, Romney?

True enough, but really Hillary and all Democrats want to abolish all constitutional restraints on government. Not just that one.

under Clinton/Warren/Sanders, say adios to your 2nd Amendment rights (and any other Amendments that interfere with her getting her way)

She can try. But she and her ilk will die trying.
And it will be bloody. Very bloody.

I think you have the right of it there.

Without telling anyone that on page 862 or the 2309-page bill that people who refuse to participate in the buyback are felons.

It’s a cliche by now, but she and her party are less concerned about guns than in control. Guns are just the tipping point.

Here’s a how-the-dominoes-fall scenario, once the Democrats and their eager GOP stooges finally get their amnesty—and tens of millions of new voters for a NAU.

Firearms are the Bill of Rights firewall, so if she pulls our teeth, next she gets “hate speech” banned, like here on FR; IOW, anything her administration doesn’t like, after her Supreme Court reconsiders New York Times v. Sullivan and her justice department starts ginning-up criminal complaints.
Then freedom of association as well—as the Sanders-Clinton goons tried to do at Trump rallies. Ya know, too much violence by the rabble.
`Freedom of religion’ next, and then the right to freely travel between the states becomes a national security issue.
The “greater good” is served as well by probable cause for searches and seizures being redefined by her US Dept. of Justice, as set forth with her executive orders.

The 9th and 10 amendments are pretty much gone, as we see by the feds threatening North Carolina the other day because the Tarheels would rather not have perverts choosing which public restroom they use in public facilities which have chosen to not capitulate to DC’s diktat; and over the last few years, the southwestern states demanding the right to protect themselves from the ongoing invasion, since the feds won’t do it, and the feds filed suits to stop them.

They eat the independent e-press and what remains of the GOP last, once they stop following her `suggestions,’ always passed on through others.

Then we’re all safe and secure from the dangers of liberty in our Hillary Clinton just-another-3rd world banana republic.

Any conservative Pollyannas concerned about their ... integrity, quibbling over Trump v. Clinton, sulking in their tents like Achilles—they’re as crazy as peach orchard boars in high summer.

I have some news for that ugly (inside and out) old hag: there are about 400 million guns in civilian hands in this country, and a lot of police and the military won’t attack the rights of their fellow citizens. Many of the rest will not be collecting pensions, ditto for many of their masters.

We have our own special bunch of morons right here who said they will never support Trump. Just like their psychotic idol, Lyin’ Ted Cruz who broke his pledge to support the nominee. Pathetic.

The destruction of America continues. Thousands of jobs in the coal industry and energy sector gone and the Second Amendment trampled. We’ve got too many freeloaders in this country trading their freedom for “free stuff”. Only someone with an I.Q. in the negative range would vote for this ditz.

Hillary is a liar. She would repeal the 2nd Amendment in a second if she could.
