[history]
The profile of one Ben Rhodes running in Sundays New York Times Magazine is not unsympathetic, which makes it all the more devastating.
But, as that quote indicates, he comes off like an overweening little schmuck. This quotation seems to capture his worldview: “He referred to the American foreign policy establishment as the Blob."

Shockingly, a lot of this is not new reporting on Rhodes. It has been on his Wikipedia page a long time that he was an MFA in creative writing and nobody ever raised an alarm bell. What a joke.

"Rhodes comes off like a real asshole. This is not a matter of politics
I have voted for Obama twice. Nor do I mind Rhodess contempt for many political reporters: Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington.
The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. Thats a sea change. They literally know nothing. An absolutely true statement.
Oh, to own the replacement panty concession in DC. A license to print money these days.

For Ben Rhodes the title of ‘Asshole’ would be an upgrade.

is the kid merely incompetent and egotistical?
he won’t last long there unless he’s also a committed anti-American IslamoNazi
mere incompetence ain’t enough to hold a job like that in the O administration
not nearly enough

Perhaps the key sentence is this: His lack of conventional real-world experience of the kind that normally precedes responsibility for the fate of nations like military or diplomatic service, or even a masters degree in international relations, rather than creative writing is still startling. Wait - do they mean Obama? Either way, its clear Rhodes is there to make Obama feel good about himself.

“Rhodes comes off like a real asshole.”
Perhaps the reason being that he in fact IS a real asshole?
Unfortunately, someone like this can manipulate the weak-minded mid-2000’s journalism majors who cover politics, and he is fully aware of this. I read the entire article, and it is very depressing, in its description of the present state of “journalism”.

Ben would look real natural in a black SS uniform.
It’s in his eyes,I think you can see it too.

I deeply regret standing up for this douche, when a senior in High school wanted to shove him in a locker.
Ben was very smart and always knew how to curry favor with authority, while holding everyone in contempt. If New York is nuked, I will drag him through the rubble to locker him, if it kills me.

LOLOLOL. Thanks very much for recounting your HS experience with the subject of this article. Seems like "Ben" hasn't changed much at all. I'm guessing you grew up on the Upper East Side?
Somehow, I've always
known or suspected that you're a good guy!
G-d bless you.

The other way is that 100% of the editors and reporters in the MSM support Obama’s political agenda.
