COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department is saying no harm, no foul after a social media describing a Krispy Kreme employee who refused service to a deputy earlier this week.
In a statement posted to its Facebook page, the sheriff's department was informed of this post circulating on Facebook back on April 29.
In the post, the man says he was inside the store getting doughnuts when he saw an exchange between two employees at the store -- one working the register, and one working the drive-thru window.
"When she looked out the window she said, 'I ain't doin' this one. No way I'm not serving him. Someone else is going to have to take care of him cause I ain't doin' it,' the post read. "I looked out the window and it was a police officer. I looked at the lady and asked her why she wouldn't serve him. She said 'I don't do the POlice.'"

Please don’t call the Pooleese next time your store is getting robbed
Lemmie guess the race involved
Why am I sure that my mental image of the employee in question is probably very close to reality. . .
Lol - I must be on FR too much. I thought this was about Chris Christie.
Why would someone work in any doughnut shop and not think that serving law enforcement would happen? It’s like getting a job in a church and refusing to deal with Christians.
The District Mgr is only worried about having the protection of the Police in the future for sure. It is almost like an invite from some wacko on social media to rob the place and feel that they can get away with it.
They should have “fired” the employee and they apparently have not.
Looks like the Krispy Kreme management and the Sherriff are class acts. As for the register jockey butchering the English language I hope she was disciplined but not fired as the last thing we need is one more loser on the dole.
Looks like the PoPo been to her house a few times. LOL!
You would be right.
Fire the bigot.
I was with one of my kids at a track meeting and asked her do they correct you in English class when some people do not talk the correct way in English class.
She told me that they never correct them , and that they think they should have their own kind of English as the English they are taught is too white.
When someone works for someone else’s business, unless told otherwise, they do not have the right the refuse service, they do and they lose their job then that is their problem.
Eff that minimum wage slug. Just one more reason to avoid Krispy Kreeme.
I see no difference between this situation and Sweet Cakes by Melissa’s being sued for refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding and ordered to pay $135,000.
The employee must, at a minimum, be terminated.
The way to deal with this employee- customer should request to be served by someone besides the one that does not do the POpo - when asked why I would reply I do not like being served by ignorant server. Public shaming works
