Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was not fazed by former Mexican president Vincente Fox's apology which was reported Wednesday afternoon.

In an interview with Bill O'Reilly, he was asked what he thought about the former president.

"Got any message for the former president of Mexico?" O'Reilly asked.

"Yeah, get your money ready because you're going to pay for the wall," Trump said.

As an aside, I've noticed that Trump is not slowing down on his media appearances. If anything he is everywhere. Hillary is attempting to be a little more visible but she looks tired, worn out, rubbery, and she simply does not seem to be able to look people in the face. In this regard Trump has her cornered and beaten. She has way, way too much to hide and it looks like it when she speaks.

She will never keep up with him, I think she is in poor health, he will be able to run circles around her and be at triple the number of locations.

Also remember that she has crews that go in ahead to carefully construct the audiences and venues because they have to create a façade for her.

Following Donald Trump‘s game-changing win Tuesday in Indiana, former Mexican President Vicente Fox has changed his tone considerably toward the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

Fox apologized Wednesday for previous comments he has made about Trump, to include using vulgar language, during an interview with Breitbart News.

“I apologize. Forgiveness is one of the greatest qualities that human beings have, is the quality of a compassionate leader,” he said. “You have to be humble. You have to be compassionate. You have to love thy neighbor.”

The former Mexican president said earlier this year that Trump “reminds me of Hitler,” calling the real estate tycoon an “egocentric” and a “false prophet,” among other things.

He also had a message about the Republican candidate’s suggestion that Mexico pay for a border will he intends to have built.

“I’m not going to pay for that f***ing wall,” Fox said.

But that was then and this is now.

“Love your nation. Love the world,” he told Breitbart News. “Yes, I’m humble enough as leadership be, [a] compassionate leader. If I offended you, I’m sorry. But what about the other way around?”

Given Trump’s penchant for not asking for forgiveness, Fox may want to get comfortable awaiting that apology.

Nevertheless, Fox invited Trump to come to Mexico to gain a different perspective.

“I don’t think he should follow the strategy of attacking others, offending others, to get to his purpose,” he said. “There are other ways and means of doing it. I invite him to come to Mexico and to see what Mexico is all about.”

I will be repeat today what I have said steadily through this primary campaign season. I am neither a supporter of Donald Trump nor a huge critic. As a Republican I find him vastly preferable to Hillary Clinton and will pull the lever for the Donald in November like a good little soldier and hope for the best.

Some of the things he does baffle me, and I believe some of his utterances are beneath even his own dignity. However, I also believe the Donald Trump operates, for better or for worse, with a certain sense of psychology that he is using against his opponents, be they domestic or foreign. I do not believe, for example, that he thinks he will get Mexico to pay for building a wall. I believe he is trying to psychologically condition the politicians in Mexico that there’s a new sheriff in town, and that the relationship between the United States and Mexico is going to change in terms of immigration. I think this article bears witness to a likely positive effect of what makes Donald Trump perhaps crazy like a fox.

It remains to be seen if his approach will work against Hillary Clinton. Obviously many people on this forum believe that it will. Most conservative talk show host think otherwise. Only time will tell.

Vincente Fox, is the PAST President. He has no power, he has no say in the workings of the Mexican Government. He is a non-entity dealing with Mexico.

If Trump talks with Mexico, IF, it will be with the current president IMO.

I tend to agree with you, although I am a big fan of Trump. I think many people don’t see the strategic game he is really playing. I’ve read several of his books years ago, and his constant reiteration of talking points is mentally conditioning his opponents to accept the changes he will put into place.

People don’t give him enough credit for his genious. That may sound over complimentary, but look at what he has accomplished thus far.

Trump knows what Mexico is all about — making America poorer and Mexico richer at our expense.

I do not believe, for example, that he thinks he will get Mexico to pay for building a wall.

He thinks it 100% which leads to you and your total misunderstanding of Trump. There are many ways to have Mexico pay for the Wall it just seems to escape those from inside the beltway.

Will there be an invoice sent to Mexico and they in turn will send a check? No but the money can be extracted in many ways.

Remember when France came to Johnson and demanded Gold for dollars? We paid them off but Trump might have insisted they apply that money to their war debt like any non corrupt businessman might, just not a corrupt government.

Yes it may be extracted in many ways. But that’s not how he’s phrasing it. Or his priorities might change. Or he might be like most politicians and deliver a performance in office that is different from his promises in the campaign. The point is that Trump is clearly conditioning the battlefield to his advantage.

Hey guys, Roger Stone outlined on Infowars during an interview, Trump would pursue Mexican state banks laundering Mexican drug cartel money. Will be a nasty legal fight, or violent, but legal rulings for damages would pay for a Yuge portion of “The Wall”

Just sayin’...

They will pay for the Wall one way or the other.

Reminds me of the Godfather, “Either your Signature or your Brains will be on that Contract”.

How would that work? Are they not business in a foreign country? Or would the Feds go after US subsidiaries?

Never apologize, it's a sign of weakness. To John Wayne and, apparently, Donald Trump.

If they are laundering US Dollars, I imagine we would have standing in an international courts. It will be interesting to see this play out. I’m not a lawyer, just an architect.

Recall Wachovia/Bank of America caught laundering $380BN of drug cartel money and paid relatively small fine (for them as bankers)

Also, on another note, LIBOR rigging banks were caught and paid fines for rigging interest rates. This was through international law and court, if I recall correctly.

Well yeah, I didn’t post thinking he was the current President. I posted it because he said a lot of stuff and now that Trump is the presumptive nominee, he has changed his tune. On other words his words are hollow, then and now.
