An Inconvenient Truth: Liberal Climate Inquisition Can’t Explain Past Temperature Changes
CNS News ^ | May 2, 2016 | David Kreutzer

Posted on 05/03/2016 3:15:49 AM PDT by detective

In the week prior to the administration signing what should constitute an international climate treaty, one think tank, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, was subpoenaed for casting doubt on the agreement’s associated science of climate catastrophe.

As disturbing as such thuggery from state attorneys general would be in any case, the premise of the subpoena is faulty. The Competitive Enterprise Institute did not cast doubt on the dubious climate science. The actual data cast the doubt. The think tank and others have simply pointed out what the data show.

There is no such thing as global warming science. But there are many politicians, media and bureaucrats who promote the fraudulent climate change agenda.

It has gotten so bad that the climate change people are threatening legal action against anyone who disagreed with them.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I have read that almost every planet in our solar system is experiencing global temperature increase. That alone should put the man made causes of temperature change into question.

But to a leftist, that would mean man is causing so much global warming it is affecting all the planet in our solar system. WE MUST ACT NOW!

OK, well here is the data: (from the Vostok ice core and confirmed by Greenland ice cores)

It says most of the time, we have been about 4-6 degrees cooler than now. It also says that lately, we might approach the highest temps in the past.
But that is only lately, and there is no doubt that humans could not possibly have had any effect on tamps 125,000 or 220,000 years ago...

All that information is great, but what does that have to do with stopping man-made climate change?......./s

“Now see if you can follow this: The “science thought police” insist that even though none of the temperature variations for the first 499,950 years had anything to do with human activity, virtually none of the temperature increases of the past 50 years had anything to do with nature. Got it?”

Natural climate change, along with a lot of “inconvenient” data, have been “disappeared”. Stalin would be very proud of today’s climate scientists.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

1. Your argument rests squarely on fact, logic, reason, and common sense, therefore it will be rejected out of hand by the warmists.

2. The less than specks in congress want to control the even less than specks (that would be us), not the sun.

After looking at that graphic, most chartists would say: “We are in for some very cold weather in a couple of thousand years”.

Don’t forget the problem with their premise that warmer is unusual or worse.

1) Check out geology sites. For about 3/4 of earth’s history when there was life on the planet (i.e., ignore the molten times) it was warmer than it is today. Today we are abnormally cool.

In fact, technically, we are still in an ice age. Wooly Mammoth time was a “glaciation” WITHIN the current ice age. There have been about 60 such glacial advances AND retreats within our current ice age of 4 million years. So when Wooly Mammoth time ended, it was NOT the end of an ice age, it was the BEGINNING of a glacial retreat.

On average, that’s 66k yrs a cycle, half cooling, half warming. Just using those numbers, with the peak cold of Wooly Mammoth time 15k years ago, we are 15k years into a 33k yr glacial retreat. If you’ve ever seen ice or snow melt, it melts quicker towards the end than it does at first.

2) Who says warmer is worse? In case you haven’t noticed, it’s much harder to deal w/the cold than the heat. This is why there’s more life on the equator than the poles. Note it is the absence of water that makes a desert, not heat. There are cold deserts.

Desertification is a separate subject that can actually be controlled to some degree. The “Dust Bowl” in the U.S. was corrected by changing agricultural techniques. Without that, we would have a desert in the middle of the country. Stopping the expansion of something like the Gobi, however, is pretty much impossible.

The associated article from Heritage.org is lengthy but is revealing.
