Yes, but Denmark requires a photo ID to vote. Their elections are therefore very clean. That’s one practice we could emulate.

I'd do it for the cookies.

Denmark has a far higher rate of assault than the U.S. (i.e., the Danes are very violent), and its violent crime rate is headed through the roof.

I wonder if this has anything to do with their immigration policy?

Hmmmm. No wonder my ancestors left there in the mid 1600’s. To settle in the Hudson Valley NY area. If they saw the politics in the area there now, they’d be packin’ their bags again. :>)

I bet it was the muslims that brought it up. I visited Denmark in 2000 and it was a peaceful safe place. I took the hovercraft ferry from Copenhagen to Malmo Sweden then as well, only a 15 minute ride. Malmo was really pleasant and welcoming. Now I hear that it is a muslim hellhole, where Christians dare not travel in the day, much less night..........................................

Do it for the cookies? The Danes are taxed at around 60% to pay for all the free stuff. So I’ve been told by my relatives there.

I got some of those Danish butter cookies for Christmas. Made in China.

Glass of beer: $10 in a pub
Typical pair of jeans: $125.
Normal collared business shirt: $75.

That tin of cookies probably costs over $20. there.

This was in 2005. I worked on a cruise ship and visited at least 9 times. Ordinary things were just jaw-dropping expensive.

I didn’t find the women exceptionally knockout, they were rather ordinary. For hotties, you go to Estonia.

I just heard Rick Edelman say on his show yesterday that some people in Denmark are being paid by Danish banks for buying a house. However, it wouldn’t necessarily work that way if the buyer insists on paying for it all up front in cash.

It would be impossible to be like Denmark unless we wanted to reduce our population from 323 mil to 5.7 mil (Denmark pop). Then we’d have to reduce our armed forces from 5.7 mil to 33K (Denmark armed forces). Comparing the US to B-list countries is comparing apples to uranium. Any incompetent bureaucrat can manage a country with populations a fraction of the population of the world powers around the globe. Moreover, these little countries depend on the military (and expensive) might of the Western Powers in order to hold on to their naive worlds of love, peace, and unicorn farms.

The Danes are hard-working and not violent. The violent crime comes from “immigrants.” They don’t mind paying high taxes in return for benefits because most Danes contribute their share of hard work.

Their system won’t work here because this country rewards indolence and punishes productivity.

My wife and I was also there the last time in 2000, having a get-away residence in Malmo as Brokers for Danish Butter Cookie manufacturer since years back. We would make at least yearly business trips over there. My wife loved our getaways. Often taking the last Hydrofoil ferry from CPH to Malmo after midnight walking to our home from the port through the streets or parks in Malmo VERY safely. BTW the crossing took 45 minutes. In 2000 we started feeling unsafe walking the streets/parks at midnight and later from the Muzzie influx. Few years later my wife felt unsafe and we gave up our residence leaving everything behind, unfortunately!!!

...the Danes are very violent...

They used to go around sacking monasteries but have given that up. Alfred the Great taught them a thing or two.

Why go to Denmark when it's easy to buy a cheese Danish here?
