Lu just keeps acting like the sneaky Canadian lawyer he is.
He has become the pitiful and pathetic parody of a "I deserve it dammit" candidate and could soon t=be the reigning poster boy as such.....
there will be no contested convention
Yep.
At issue now is only how much damage is being done to Trump as he is forced to fight a two-front war.
Hillary has shifted into General Election mode (and not against Cruz) while Trump still has the GOPe nipping at his heels.
It's time for Cruz and Kasich to grow up, bow out, endorse Trump and take the fight to Hillary Clinton and the Democrats. This crap has gone on long enough.
The poison pill in this is that if this were to go to a second ballot and Cruz were to get nominated, Hillary becomes the official president. Cruz thinks he can force Trump supporters to vote for him. He can’t. He won’t and he will go down as the one responsible for destroying the country!
I am hoping that Trump will get the needed1237 on the first ballot and all these underhanded machinations by Cruz and the GOPe will become moot.
I don’t have an answer for that. McCauliffe, especially, is a guy who should never hold any public office. I still remember the Global Crossing deal.
The gubernatorial race was Cuccinelli’s third successive statewide race. He’d won statewide twice as AG. The Trump donation made not a bit of difference. Yes, it would have been nice had he given to Cuccinell or not given to McAuliffe, but nonetheless it have NO impact on the outcome of the election.
Cuccinelli was hurt by the prosecution of then-Gov McDonnell. And, I believe the prosecution was done by the feds purposely to harm McDonnell as a potential GOP presidential prospect and to harm Cuccinelli’s chances of succeeding McDonnell in the VA Governor’s mansion. $5K or $100K would not have made a difference.
SCOTUS this past week held its hearings on the McDonnell appeal and from the sounds of it, the convictions will likely be overturned or, at worst, the McDonnells face a new trial. Too late, all of it, for Ken Cuccinelli who, not surprisingly, heads up the Cruz efforts in VA.
Cruz supporter Ken Cuccinelli was on WMAL between 7:45 and 8:00am this morning talking about the convention. He said that Cruz could have had all 13 of the 13 delegates but he, Cuccinelli, opted to push for the compromise slate that gave Trump 3 delegates. He talked about how, even though Trump had won Virginia, the rank and file party and grassroots activists are the ones who showed up in Harrisonburg on Saturday so they won. As an aside, Brian Wilson did point out all this only mattered if Trump failed to win on the first ballot.
