Will Ferrell has backed out of a comedy about Ronald Reagan’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease following outrage from the former president’s family.
The 48-year-old comic confirmed Friday that while he had seen the script and considered signing on to star and produce “Reagan”, he was no longer going ahead with the project.

I can’t stand Wil Ferrell but I have a modicum of respect for him...an iota of a gram of a modicum respect...now that he has done this.

Seriously, this was a HORRIBLE idea from the start. Farrell should be embarrassed, but I’m sure he is not.

Good point. He is probably getting a lot of flak from inside Hollywood too. Seth Rogen (no Conservative certainly) gave some very moving testimony in a Senate committee last year about his wife's mother and her struggles with this disease.
