That’s a good point, Gaffer. Why wait til now to announce if this is an earth-shattering selection for VP? Especially if, like Fiornia, the person has been around all along.
If it’s Rubio, his delegate total doesn’t make a difference in the fight for 1237. It still leaves him an impossible number short.
Not to mention that Rubio can’t transfer them, if I understand the process correctly.

The demographic for talk radio is shrinking. Millennials are not listening to that type of format. The syndication company that distributes Rush’s show is in massive amounts of debt.
Rush is playing the long game, and honestly I hope he has an exit strategy planned for soon.

Cruz is losing it.
The lies of a politician begin before he is even elected. He wants campaign money to keep rolling in so he has to paint a rosy picture of how things are going. In many cases the politician has almost no chance to win but until he bows out he sounds like Bagdad Bob. Ted has gone way overboard with that.
It is all Kabuki now, delivered in the face of the Mongol Horde and Ghengis Trump making their final assault.

What he is saying is that if he is nominated, he will choose Carley as his running mate. That is not illegal.

Not pride. Arrogance. Cruz thinks “NY Liberal” Trump is stealing what is rightfully his. I have no doubt if he can’t win he’ll do his best to Goldwater Trump. It’s going to get UGLY the next few weeks. Cruz is only leaving this race toes up politically.
Yes, you're right about that, but Reagan was only behind Ford by a handful of delegates. Cruz is barely above half of Trump's, so Cruz announcing a running mate right now makes even less sense than if Bernie Sanders announced his pick for Secretary of State.
You are correct. And his showed his loyalty to Richard Schweiker in 1981 and made him a cabinet officer. I wish he had chosen Schweiker instead of Bush in 1980.
I’m afraid it’s Pence. I think that will be bad for Pence but actually good for Cruz. Ted’s trying to recreated his WI victory but not the same scenario. For one thing, it’s late to get Pence’s network into high gear. For another thing, the radio hosts haven’t united to trash Trump for months.

His press sec. says he is not going to be at Cruz rally today, so that is something to consider.
I heard a crazy rumor on a Hartford, CT conservative talk show this morning that Cruz is picking Carly Fiorina as a running mate. Seems crazy to me...
