It wouldn’t be a Republican primary without charges of foul play levelled at Ted Cruz. And New York is no exception.
A few hours before polls closed in the Empire State, John Kasich’s strategist John Weaver tweeted that the Texan was responsible for misleading robocalls—which falsely claimed that New York’s Democratic governor had endorsed Kasich.

There was something last week where Kasich called Cruz out for lying. There seems to be a pattern with Ted.

Kasich camp has accused Cruz camp of dirty tricks before. And we all know Cruz would *never* play a dirty trick (Hillary cough!)

I hate to defend Cruz because I think he does set the tone for his campaign. But Cruz’s campaign team has been completely infiltrated by GOP insiders. I am not sure that he even has control over his own team, and certainly not the superpacs which this probably came from. The Cruz team is plying right into the Lyin’ Ted narrative. I don’t think that this is inadvertent and I think that it is harmful to Cruz’s future in politics.
