Red State poll.
Under estimating Trumps numbers.
Over estimating Cruz’s numbers.

Just wait for the next two Tuesdays to pass.
And prepare for even more desperate yelps for a brokered convention.

He could rocket to a third-place finish. Kasich’s gaffe probably didn’t help him, though. If there’s truly 1% difference between them, that is. He might beat K to 2nd place.

Two wild cards as to whether Trump reaches 50% or not:
1. How many of Trump’s voters, especially among independents and Democrats, switched their voter registration to Republican by the deadline of last October?
2. How many of Cruz’s supporters are registered as part of the Conservative Party in New York and not part of the Republican Party?

Trump at 50+ would be huge. Hillary at less than 50 would be huger. Tuesday is a red letter day for the Republic, no matter how you slice it.

The only special group Trump works for is a group known as the “Trump Family.”

I would imagine the number of Democrats and independents switching to Republican in October is close to zero.
The pollster should first ask, “Are you a registered Republican”.

After the last debate, Cruz said, “I’m going to win New York.”
smh.

I can’t wait for Ted Cruz’s third place finish “victory speech” in NY.

I beelive he has been up all night for days writing it, so that the gang at NR and Charles Krauthmammer can applaud it as a seminal moment and turning point in American politics.
