Cruz PAC’s Paid Talk Radio Insider $8 Million Dollars – Was Money Illegally Used
RBN ^ | April 13, 2016 | Slad

Reality Check has already shown how “Neutral” Conservative News Websites Breitbart and The Daily Wire are actually fronts for the Ted Cruz Campaign. In our article “The $25 Million Dollar Trump Take Down” we clearly show that the owners of those sites donated over $25 Million Dollars to the Cruz Campaign and then use their websites to promote him. But is Talk Radio also on the take? Reality Check dug into Cruz FEC Filings and discovered the Cruz PACs paid a Talk Radio Insider over $8 Million Dollars, and the endorsements of Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and others quickly came in.

The FCC regulates the nation’s TV and Radio Stations because the signals they use are owned by the public. This is why you cannot use certain words on the radio, stations must have licenses, keep a public records file and make it available, etc.

One FCC rule is 47 U.S. Code § 317 or the Payola Rule. Simply put, Radio/TV Stations and their employees are not allowed to take money to put content in their programming, mention items, talk about candidates, etc. unless that sponsorship is disclosed.

In other words, if a Talk Show host like Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Hugh Hewitt or others was paid money by a campaign to talk glowingly, defend or endorse a candidate, and not disclose that they were paid on-air to the audience, or the radio stations they are broadcast on, they’d be in violation of the law. The station could lose it’s license and the host could be jailed and fined.

Politico published an article in December called, “Talk Radio Rallies Around Ted Cruz” highlighting Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and Erick Erickson, amongst others as hosts defending Cruz and bashing Donald Trump (to Cruz’s benefit).

There are multiple ways money can go from one account to another.

Cattle futures.

Book advances.

Employments for relatives.

etc.

Thanks, maybe I’d be more accurate if I said they report fairly about Trump vs how some of the others act. They did have the crazy reporter resign over he false allegations

Because New York is PISSED at Ted Cruz, and Donald Trump is helping to stoke those fires any way he can.

Try to think for a change VTenigma - would ‘any reasonable person’ think the IRS would ever be used for political purposes?

Actually yes a reasonable person would. In my opinion our founders were reasonable people and they were fearful of government and placed restrictions on governmental power. They also gave us the 2nd amendment as a means to limit governmental tyranny. So yes based on multiple millennia of history a reasonable person could predict a tyrannical government (which we have) using it’s resources against certain groups

Trump has no need to debate Lyin’ Ted sCruz because sCruz’s support is collasping as it should. sCruz supports a VAT, which is a very high tax plan. Cruz lied on national TV claiming “of the 4 remaining canidates I’m the only one who is opposed to the Iran nuke deal”.

Yet Lyin’ Ted sCruz not only voted for the Corker bill he cosponsored the damn thing. And don’t ask me why sCruz said remaining 4, I thought there were only 3 left.

Absoultuely right Michael, and once they have the money it starts beign taken for granted and the lust for power becomes stronger. On the other hand, never underestimate the power of greed. These people make a lot of money but they may spend a lot of money too. No way of telling who’s financially strapped.

Rush at least was sort of lighthearted about it. He said it was a masterstroke, brilliant.

I suggest you do some unbiased research on the last 10-15 years in this country. Almost everything that has transpired is not ‘supposed’ to happen (constitutionally speaking), but it has.

You’ll not only see that the politicians have sold us out to the highest bidder, but they use the alphabet agencies (aka brownshirts) to advance their agenda and/or to punish those who threaten their power or agenda.

We are far, far removed from the America our Founders conceived of.

Think Rush or Levin need the money?

Need?

That is getting close to what Freebie and The Screech complain about -- regarding others, of course.

'Want' is a better description. Have you not heard their infomercials, their hawking their books, tea, etc.?

Ironically, not long ago Levin said on his radio show about his new web TV effort: 'I'm not in it for the money.' Then he went to an advertising break. When the radio program was rejoined, Levin was saying 'the subscription to his web TV was only $69/year or $7.99/month.'

It IS about the money, and the influence they think they have, and the access to the elite venues, etc.

Personally, my view of Beck went from belief to the guy is a nut; Levin I never liked, although he has had some good points. Never listen to Hewitt. Recently, there has been a female right winger whom I like and she now sounds anti-Trump. No names, just wondering.

The only answer is they are either imPACted or believe Trump is not right wing enough. To me Trump is a pragmatic businessman, and even if I do not like all of his views, I have to make compromises as he will, in prder to get a more favorable deal.

“Does any reasonable person think if this story were true the FEC, FCC, and Justice department wouldn’t be all over these talk shows?” Reasonable? OBAMA is PRESIDENT; who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of Dems?

It was -- until the same thing happened during his radio broadcast. Someone somewhere changed the volume, Rush sounded like he was in an echo chamber, and a 2nd voice was being feed into the audio stream.

Joke? When he discovered that that happened, he said his staff denies doing it. He acted astonished that it happened -- to him on his live radio program.

Did anyone on his staff admit doing it? Last I heard, they had not, but I did not listen to the full program.

Coincidence or prank from outside or joke from the staff?

Actually, our founder forsaw all of this, that is why they gave us the tools to use to corral an out of control government.
It is up to us to use those tools. Unfortunately the modern individual does not posses the intestinal fortitude to as the founders did, our fault not theirs.

Real cute with your Lyin’ Ted, when all he is doing is taking Trump’s lifelong positions out to their logical conclusion.

Britebart appears to be pro-Trump

Is Breitbart a TV or radio station, do they broadcast over the open air? If not - then this law doesn't apply.

Do you think that I and millions of others don’t already know this? This is a different issue, however.

You’re straying away from the original point, which means you now know your original argument was flawed, as I first pointed out to you.

Nice try anyway; Levin would be proud of you...

This is Robot talk from Trump. During every speech he uses this term repeatedly and expects the weak minded to follow him. I suggest that you actually express these ‘lies’ with examples rather repeating your master’ voice. His technique is not new~Joseph Gobbels used it effectively in Nazi Germany.
