Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has decided he may want some help from Washington after all to stop Trump.
But alas, his entreaties to his Senate colleagues aren't going very well.
Cruz is facing varied and dynamic obstacles in his quest to build support on the Hill. Some senators are stubbornly nursing grudges against the freshman senator's 2013 government shutdown gambit or any other number of slights and affronts he committed as a freshman senator that made him deeply unpopular. Other senators endorsed candidates who already dropped out of the race and are unwilling to repeat that mistake with Donald Trump the clear frontrunner and Cruz likely needing a contested convention to win the nomination.
Ultimately, Cruz is little more than a polarizing colleague asking individual senators to go out on a limb for him on his long-shot bid to deny Trump the nomination. It's a request that makes for sometimes awkward private conversations.

Which is why all Cruz can do is sabotage he and Trump for Kasich.
Nobody likes Cruz. Even his own daughters think he is a bread-faced mutant who just comes to visit sometimes.

But he’s finding out, if he didn’t already know, that helping the gopE stop Trump gets him NADA. That means “nothing” in Spanish in case he doesn’t understand.

Cruz has been on a bash-Trump marathon. Cruz keeps saying he "won" 11 elections in a row...that he is positive Trump will n-e-v-e-r be the nominee.
No wonder he doubled-down on calling Mitch a liar today.
He’s getting no US Senate support.
Looks like Ted needs to involve Priesthood-Rising Stabby the Clown to persuade the Mormon contingent to push him over the top in New York! You know, voting for Cruz is like voting for Romney ... kind of a tithe.

It’s no secret the guy is a douche. According to the latest polls 73% of voters say NO WAY.
All but the most fervent Cruzlims know the guy has very little national appeal.
