COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - With GOP frontrunner Donald Trump now bashing Colorado's caucus and convention system, there are indications that a change is in the works.
Lawmakers in Denver plan to soon introduce a bill that would scrap the caucus in favor of a presidential primary.
After a shutout here, Donald Trump is enraged.
Only the most active Colorado Republicans participated in the caucus and convention process leading some voters to cry foul.
"The process has really let us down this year," active GOP voter Eli Bremer said. "It really should be the primary voters in each state that pick our eventual nominee. What we're having are back room deals and things that Republicans, Democrats and Independents are quite frustrated with."
Only 6 percent of registered Republicans and Democrats voted in the Colorado Caucuses March 1.
In a presidential primary, many argue turnout would be much higher.

Too little too late.
CO GOP need to reconvene and re assign delegate more in line with CO GOP voters.
I completely agree.
This election has been terrible. Cruz has won exactly FOUR actual votes.
Four.
It took Trump to bring it to the forefront, like he has done with so many other things that are blocked by the elites/establishment.
Great idea. It would be nice if both sides did do overs on all states that did not have patriotic primaries. It’s certainly not to late and Americans should be able to vote in this country. It is tragic what goes on here. We are like North Korea, Cuba, Iran. Heck we insisted that Iraq hold fair voter driven elections yet we don’t. How hypocritical of us. If I was an Iraqi president, I’d scream this for everyone to hear. We literally a banana republic now.
The GOPe and the Cruz campaign are leaving a trail of poop, yellow fluid, and dirty diapers along this nomination process trail.
I’ve never seen a more disgusting display.
Ted’s name will go own in history alright.
They’ll be fertilizing lawns with it for decades.
“Four.”
He’ll be lucky to win that many states in the General. I’d bet he wouldn’t even win Arkansas.
Too bad he couldn’t use his “ground” game in the general to steal Electoral College Electors...
...then he’d be a real threat!
I live in a caucus state (Minnesota) and regardless of who wins caucuses, they are hardly representative of the average GOP voter - or for that matter, the average Dem voter.
It wouldn’t bother me in the least bit if our state dumped the caucus system.
Without an election....a primary....how do they know what the voters are thinking. They MUST call a primary!
[It took Trump to bring it to the forefront, like he has done with so many other things...]
Sid Roths (Its Supernatural) guest Rich Vera had a prophetic word about DONALD TRUMP. He has a purpose. We must pray for his protection.
SID:
Tell me about Donald Trump.
RICH:
Donald Trump. Oh my goodness. You know, the Lord gave me a vision.
Im not political, Im not for either party.
SID:
I understand.
RICH:
But the Spirit of the Lord told me that there was a prayer, there was something he had as a
younger man with the Lord that the Lord marked his life and separated him, and because of that is
the prosperity that [he] has experienced, come on his life, in spite of what people believe of his belief
systems. But this is a man who is going to be used of God to bring to light a lot of dirt. For many years to come youre going to hear him as a man who started in the forefront and in the media to expose the secrets of darkness in society and in government here in America.

Without caucuses how will the really smart people going to pick the next GOP designated loser?
Pray America wakes
“Without an election....a primary....how do they know what the voters are thinking. “
They don’t. It doesn’t matter. It’s meant to be a inside the party decision.
In other words: Rigged.
With what is going on in terms of MONEY spent on campaigning and after the PEOPLE speak, a handful of them decide who will get the nod.
Whether that is the rules or not, one can imagine if any other country in the world was having such goings on
JIMMY CARTAH would pack his bag and head there under the guise of making sure the vote isn’t rigged or the voter get screwed.
Even as ‘old fashioned’ the Iraqis are, they at least have it down to one man(person) one vote by using the ink.
Of course, I can conjure up marauding gangs running around with a jug of purple ink and accosting people they know who will be voting against ‘them’ and forcibly dipping their finger in the ink.
The GOP in Colorado is as corrupt as Washington DC
Left the state in 2000
State has been overrun by California liberals
The GOP there will be like California in ten years nonexistent
You think CO is corrupt, wait til you see the Convention.
Dittos. I have been saying this for awhile now. Let the people decide. Scruz the GOP.
Add up the time wasted by everyone involved in the current system, the time wasted because of the current disaster, the motel bills of the state convention attendees, the time spent by every media employee working on and commenting on the disaster (and the workers behind the scene), assembly hall rentals, the time FReepers have spent commenting on the disaster (and commenting on one another), etc., etc.
Now assume some reasonable $/hour; and $5 million is probably a bargain by comparison.
Not to mention the advantages of actually having voter intent taken into account in deciding the result—as opposed to some "delegates" coming out of the caucus rooms who will do God-only-knows-what.
If you think the Convention is corrupt, wait til you see the government.
Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."
