Trump's support at 50 percent in Connecticut
The Hill ^ | April 12, 2016 | Rebecca Savransky

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has a 24-point lead in Connecticut, with 50 percent support of likely GOP primary voters, according to a new Emerson College Polling Society survey released Tuesday.

If the front-runner surpasses 50 percent, he could sweep all 28 of the state's delegates in the April 26 GOP primary.

Rival John Kasich is in second place in the new poll, with 26 percent of the vote.

Ted Cruz comes in last at 17 percent. If the Texas senator fails to break 20 percent of the statewide or congressional district vote, he may not secure any of Connecticut's delegates.

It would be nice if Ted would shut his lyin’ trap once he’s mathematically eliminated, but he won’t.

East Coast Liberalism has always been alive and well. Even in the Repub Party. Why would Ted being a conservative - having polling probs in these places - be a surprise?

Oh, but Cruz winning two-time Obama state Wisconsin is a huge deal, right?

Why would Ted, being a conservative, have done so poorly in the South?

Conversely, if Trump is such a raging liberal, why did Trump clean Cruz's clock in the South?

Cruz is a pathetic puke. I do not want to look at him or hear him. It makes me embarrassed.

He is a traitor to America.

I can’t stand to listen to cruz anymore.
the more I did the more he came across as a sleazy ivy league creep.
His lies and always and I mean always talking about Trump was too much, but then he would say to the media he is there to talk about issues when he never does and they wonder why he is called lying ted and no one likes him who knows him.

cruz got crushed here in the south, he won WI which is hardly a conservative state and won the area of Madison WI which is a liberal cesspit.

CT needs to be saved. Trump ain’t gonna save CT. Malloy and his henchmen have sealed CT’s fate.

Unlike Ted Cruz, Trump believes in our Christian traditions, our fast food chains and our delicious apple pies!

Because Trump is a cheater.

He STOLE those votes. Trump has won only 37 percent of the national Republican vote. But he’s got 45% more delegates.

CHEATER!

Yeah it was. He was expected to LOSE. But he didn’t.

That is such stupid logic. You can't just say "well, the media said...", and then act like it means anything. If the media Cruz was supposed to surge after Wisconsin, but instead he loses every other primary in the month of April, does that mean anything more?

Trump has won only 37 percent of the national Republican vote.

Still a lot better than Cruz's 28%!

Trump is leading Cruz by millions of popular votes nationally, and it's only going to get bigger after New York has its primary.

Cruz has lost it fair and square and should step aside for the sake of the country.
If his continued efforts at thievery split and destroy the party,
we’ll be saddled by Hillary or burned by Bernie.

Cruz lost the primary vote and is now aiding and abetting the enemy (the GOPe)
in their treasonous attempt to deny the nomination to the winner.
Cruz is a sore loser turned traitor against the grassroots voters.
And the foolish neophyte thinks the GOPe is going to let him have a shot at the presidency
if he helps them block Trump?
Laughable if it wasn’t so serious.

That’s an easy answer. Ted Cruz’s conservatism is all hat and no cattle.

A vote for TPA/TPP is not a conservative, America-first position. Ask Senator Jeff Sessions why he decided to support Donald Trump and not Ted Cruz.
